COWABUNGA LOSERS!

In my opinion, this game was made for one exact purpose: to give you a little taste of what it feels like to be a turtle. But you wouldn't want to be one anyway. The graphics are impressive, & so are the moves of the turtles, but hearing the turtles say the same thing over each punch or kick is really annoying. I just muted the volume & turned up the stereo. These four need some more training by Splinter if they are going to kick Shredder's behind.
turtles are slow, so is the game

when i began playing, i was having some fun. i beat the game with donatello. i kind of had fun beating the game with michaelangelo. i had to push myself to beat it with raphael. leonardo sucks so bad and the game got boring that i still haven't beat it with him.

Konami must have made a million dollars when I grew up playing the TMNT arcade games, so they have finally given us gamers something to fall back. The new game is pretty much identical to the old one, with a few surprises mixed in. The reviews are harsh, originally you fought only foot soldiers in different colored costumes, so at least seeing different enemies is fine enough for me. I'm a bit older now, so I don't follow the cartoon at all, but must say the snipets inbetween stages is great to keep someone like myself up to speed. The new version is more true to the old comic book. In all, the buton mashing is just like the old one, though the sounds do get annoying. I have to give the graphics a 5.0, because they do shine throughout, giving you the feeling of being in the actual cartoon. I own this one, but I for any skeptics (like I was) at least give it a try, and you'll agree that if all your looking for was a revived TMNT arcade-like challenge, then this one will grow on you too. PS> I must agree with Gamepro's logic on this one. Not being able to use all 4 turtles in co-op sucks, but hey, at least there's co- op!
this old-school beat 'em up game offers simple fun, unfortunatly..

I used to be a huge 'turtles fan when i was a kid,so this game brings back some sweet memories. Unfortunatly this old-school beat 'em up game gets very repetitive pretty fast. Thats kinda to bad cause a good, well made, turtles game would have been awsome. This game still is fun,but you would be better of renting it.

Okay, I know what most of you are thinking, a TMNT game after so long, so you have to check it out. Well my friends, don't bother checking it out too much. TMNT has many downsides, and here's a quick rundown: Too easy, too much repetitiveness, and the comments made by the turtles come out much too often (trust me, after hearing Donatello say, "Anyone wanna play stickball?" fifty times in one level, it gets annoying fast). The only ups to TMNT are the sweet graphics, and the trueness to the show (the new series, that is). But other than graphics, this button masher really has nothing to offer, not even to Turtle fanatics. Trust me, if you have to play this game because it's a TMNT game, then rent it. If not, then just avoid it as much as possible. No originality. No replay factor. No fun.
this game is not worth buying u do the same thing over and over

I've just rented TMNT last night. One of the best button-mashing games I've played. It shows footage from the new cartoon, and some of the levels even follow what happened. One drawback is that only the first player can get upgrades. Every few levels, you will go back to hte dojo and the first player will have to complete a task. If you complete it in the given amount of time, then you get an upgrade. Whether it be a new move, or a stat bonus, like attack. Great game, worth every penny.
