Its kinda like Kanye said at the begginning of "All Falls Down"; NBA Live 2004 is most definetely the "Real One Baby". This game has it all; I mean you can customize just about any and everythang you could think of; I'm talkin old school jerseys to pracitce throwbacks and lets not get started on all them pretty Jordans they got floatin around. Freestyle is tight(although it ISSS a little too easy to excute though *until you knock up those gameplay settings though*). Plain and simple kidz, the only way to get any realer than NBA Live 04'........hit up TNT during the regular season. Until Next time game-heads........

I love NBA Live 2004. It is one of the few basketball games out there that lets you go all out. Playing online is great and we cannot forget the great types of music selection that was incorporated. The only thing that I would like to see more of is more involvement like Madden. But aside from that, this game is good.

Welcome to NBA Live 2004, I'm your host Cryofeel and we are in the Gamepro Computer Arena.....sorry little hyped.NBA Live 2004 is MUCH MORE different than last year's, no more area the "dunkfest" game of last year and now it's physical baby!Graphics are good, players look a little bit cartoony but thats good.Sound is awesome you have music from Chingy, Sean Paul, Lil' Flip...etc, Announcers are great a bit repetitive but its good, they complain to much that is.Control is GREAT, Freestyle control is awesome and the new Power Dribble button is great, one complain about that is, Power Dribble breaks defense almost easy.Another great addition is changing from dunk to lay up saves you from being blocked, Off Ball Play is a good addition too and offers more realistic plays, talking about realistic, players now look the ball everytime so there are no more voodoo type passes. If you like basketball games this is a most buy, I think its better than ESPN because of its action, and not boredoom like ESPN.Live will keep you aLive in 2004.

For some reason, EA sports did exactly what it shouldn't have. They changed the gameplay and physics of their NBA franchise. Last Year, NBA Live was a fast paced alternative to NBA 2K3, but was still outdone in many aspects. This year, NBA Live has incorporated a new button scheme with an extremely high learning curve as well as adding choppier graphics and a very low framerate. NBA Live purists should beware, the series is reverting back to what it became in 2001, a lot of running and cut scenes. ESPN is the real deal, forget this game or waste your money. In fact, NBA shootout sports better graphics and controls. Stick with ESPN, and everything is fine.

Probaly the best basketball games this year. It features a new soundtrack with such artists as Red Cafe' and Freeway. It features a new Dynasty Mode. It features new EA Sports Freestyle controll. It even features the Charlotte Bobcats! This is definently better than last year's version.
very FUN game!!

This is the first basketball game from EA I've purchased in forever. I had played the Sega 2K games the last couple of years. However, those games have seemingly gone more to the simulation side, almost to the point of boredom. EA's offering intrigued me because of the "freestyle" control. I have to report that it was everything I expected and more. It wasn't too dominant, but if its used at the proper time you can really have success. The off the ball control is really cool as well if you need a big bucket. Star players play like star players, but a serviceable player can succeed if you work at it. Raef LaFrentz is not going to go for 40 every night, but he will get you 15 pts. and 8 rebs. if you play him correctly. All in all this game has won me back to basketball on PS2. I couldn't be more pleased.
