Not a good game for new players

At one time, WoW may have been a decent game but anymore it's terrible for new players. At low levels, expect lots of crap from high levels for no reason like /spit. Mid level, gold and character farmers look at players as an open source to scam through ninja and more obvious schemes. The game ends when you reach 80 and find that the runs you need to do to gear up are either not run or require gear you don't have access to unless you've already run them. Big Catch-22, and to top it off, Blizzard lets you know that they have many other subscribers so the loss of a few does not concern them. Truly a bad experience throughout for the 3 months I tried to play.

I just have to get this out because I do not understand how any WoW player would stick with WoW after trying Everquest 2, yes I have played WoW, I don't think it is terrible, it's a decent game, but it is in my opinion no contest compared to Everquest 2. Looking at the 2 games WoW looks much more aimed at younger audiences, and I think that seems the case all around.
Graphics-WoW takes a cartoony approach, silly looking animations, cutesy mounts ( no matter how fierce looking anyone thinks any of them are, I don't see it). WoW also is not nearly as detailed and crisp looking as Everquest 2.
Gameplay- I can see where the very casual player may be attracted to WoW, but the challenge of Everquest 2 is one of it's best points, especially if you are into raiding, and I mean challenging, must know what your doing and pay attention, and set up your raid right.
Classes- Everquest 2 has some classes similar to WoW but the way the abilities and such are set up makes for a much more challenging and involving game.
Anyone who likes WoW owes it to themselves to at least check out the free trial of Everquest 2, which also has a new expansion hitting in a few days. Here's a link to a recent post on the EQ2 forums from a DIE HARD WoW player, who recently played the beta of Everquest 2: The Shadow Odyssey, and has seen the light!
Cheaper than drugs, but just as addictive

Playing this game for the first time is like awakening into a new world. The experience is like few others and the gameplay is a ton of fun if you enjoy RPG games. Sometimes having to run across the entire map to complete a small mission is tedious, but playing with a friend or group makes it all worthwhile.
I think the strongest point on this game is also its most annoying and that is the online gameplay. The entire game (for the most part) is based on playing and interacting with other folks online. This can be extremely fun or extremely painful depending on who your playing with. Regardless, it should not have an impact on the game's ranking (just like playing with noob-tubers on COD4 does not affect that game's score).
For as long as this title has been around and for all the great work they do to keep it competitive and interesting; I think this game is easily one of the greatest all time. I mean can 11+ million users/month be wrong?
Awsome

As long as they keep adding content this game will last forever. The bgs are amazing and theres always better gear to work for and the grp content all the way up to full raids down to the 2v2 arena

World of Warcraft is the best game I have ever played. One of its best features is that you can doanload a 10-day free trial, so if your willing to be a low level you don't have to buy the game or pay monthly. My personal favorite race is Tauren and my favorite class is Warrior. I am not able to play WoW because my parents won't let me download it onto their pc. But whwwn ever I go to my friend's house, I make a trial account and play there.

This game is the best game i have ever played in my life. You get to meet people from differnt states even countries. Yea the graphics could be better. One thing i wanted to do but couldnt was make ur own weapon and armor but instead u have to do quest and some times there isnt a reward but exp (experience points) that made me mad when i did the hardest quest i thougth anyway and all i got was 460exp that pissed me off but everything else was great so that is why i gave this game 4.75 out of 5

I never thought I would play this game. I figured it was too addictive and I would get sucked in to it. Plus I don't have high speed internet, so I never got it. But a friend of mine bought an account for me and lets me play it over at his house. Last time we spent about 10 hours grinding trying to get me to level 20. I gave up at level 13. (He just called and told me he got me to just below lvl 20.)
It's a game with countless things to do. From starting your first quest to PvP to farming and grinding to exploring both continents. The different races offer enough variety and professions to keep someone entertained and practicing for quite a while. The secondary proffesions can be changed so if you get tired of mining, you can switch to skinning. Of course there's always the classic "Leveling up so I can gank suckers walking along the roads." But that's not a profession, that's just there to tick people off and ive you a good laugh.
If you ever do get bored with the game, there's always enough propoganda and jokes going around the internet to keep you entertained. There's also a countless number of mods on the internet (some of which are not kosher) that can level you up or give you directions or keep track of your health more closely.
I never thought I would see hand-painted-like graphics in a game. The look of the trees and the buildings are something to pay attention to. The rate at which the locales change is quite rapid, so you may never get bored of traveling around. The races, of course, differ from each other. You can either choose your favorite-looking one, or the one that you think will work best for you. The various things that take place in this game are also remarkable. From the crabs scuttling on the shores to the boars walking in the forest.
The sound is something I never paid attention to. When I was at a friend's house we just listened to music. So I can't really comment on something I haven't heard. But what I did hear was at least some good voice acting, mainly from the /silly and /flirt commands.
This game will not keep you entertained for days, it will for years. There's always something to do. Trade in your social life for a video game.
