Metal Gear Solid 3 is sooo awsome

After I beat the second MGS I could not wait to get the third. Right when it came out I bought it with my own money, and it was definately worth every penny. This game I think beats the Sons Of Liberty in every way possible.

The best MGS game..... yet....

THE BEST OF THE BEST! What can I say, this game is amazing. The graphics are a 10, the gameplay is unbeatable, and the story is very fitting. After watching all the cinematics in the game, I'll say that it might even be better than the gameplay itself! (I mean that in the best possible way.) If you didn't understand MGS before, you will now. Everything falls into place with this game. You hav to give credit to Konami and Hideo Kojima (hope i spelled it right) for the way they planned this all out. THE STORYLINE We all know that the game's set back to 1964 in the Cold War, but why? Snake's first and foremost objective is to rescue Sokolov, a scientist that is forced to work on the Shagohod, a revolutionary tank that would put an end to the cold war for Russia (where the game takes place). But when Colonel Volgin, one of your many enimies, gets his hands on a nuclear bomb from "The Boss," things go balistic! After firing the nuke at a research facility, the U.S. has to prove it's inocence, that's when the real fun starts...... I'll leave the rest of the game to you... but I gurantee you'll be satisfied. And don't listen to anyone who says that it's a stealth game, it may help to use stealth, but you can run around shooting people and rampaging if you want, the choice is yours. And for those of you who said that this is the last of MGS, you were wrong, there is going to be a Metal Gear Solid 4! So, this is the best MGS game.....yet! www.metalgearsolid.com

Hideo is a god among gods!

I dont even know were to begin other than this game is above all other games ever. I would even venture to say its beter than MGS. The ending is full of moments were you cant believe your play this. All you can do is smile and enjoy the ride. And agen Hideo surprised the hell out of me with his unforgetable story and how he tells it. Its full of twist that you will never guess. It is with out question my favorite game ever! I recomend it to any one. It is the single reason people should by a PS2.

One word to describe MGS3: Awsome.

The one thing that made the MGS seris so great was it's awsome storylines. MGS3, without a doubt, has the best story a game could every have. The story is full of many twists, drama, action and surprises. MGS3 is based in a different era than the other MGS games. This time it's based in the 1960's and you don't play as Solid Snake. Well, you sort of, but you play as his somewhat called "father" Yes, you play as Big Boss. The game is way better than MGS2 and even MGS1. The voice acting is amazing and cut scenes are amazing. They have lots of action too. To try not to spoil anything about MGS3 awsomet story, here is a quick an small summary. You play as Snake (a.k.a. Big boss) and your mission is to resue a man named Sokolov. But things just get worse and you face off against a group called the "Cobras". There are lots a boss battles. Some are hard, some are easy. There are evern really long boss battles. MGS3 has the best story I have ever seen in a video game. MGS3's gameplay is slightly different than MGS2. You now have to eat and capture or find food to refill your stamia and heal and cure your wounds. You now have to use camouflage to out smart your enimies. You can also do a lot of more martial arts moves using CQC (close quarters combat). In the game you don't have your trusty radar, now you have to use your senses such as see and hear to sneak by your enimies. The gameplay is more realistic than MGS1 or MGS2. The Graphics are the best I've ever seen on a Ps2. The jungle looks amazing and many of the different eniviroment and effects you'll see the game are great too. The sound is amazing. Great voice acting and great theme music add to the overall experience. Unfortunly, the game does have some camera problems but overall, the controls are solid. MGS3 is amazing game with a great experience, story and gameplay. Graphics: 5.0 Sound: 5.0 Controls: 4.5 Fun Factor: 5.0

therock72890 is an idiot

He always writes that STUPID SHlT on his reviews! He messed up the average score, which should be a 5.0! This is one of the best games of the year, right beside Ratchet & Clank: Up your Arsenal and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Snake Eater

This game is AMAZING! I wacthed the trailer so many times i could not get the song out of my head! When i finally got it i played it all night and dayliterally) well this game looks amazing. The controls are awsome but the camera needs a little bit of work(splinter cell?) The sound is great and the guns sound great. Sons of Liberty was a MAJOR dissapointment(Raiden?!?) The main reason this game gets a 4.5 is because it was way too short i thought it would be(MGS2?!?) I higly recommend this game put down San Andreas and play Sake Eater!

Leave it to Metal Gear to take the gold!

I truly loved this game. The camo addition to being stealthy was very nice. The first time throguh I didn't think much of the camo. As I played through though, I found myself getting caught because I wore the wrong camo. So your camo DOES matter. Also, I'd like to cover the story. I must say that it was great, like the other Metal Gear games. Though MGS2 had one weird story itself. Anyway, I won't spoil anything, but the story was awesome. It couldn't have been better. It's really nice to know what Big Boss went through to earn his title and everything. Eating to survive was a nice addition. I usually didn't worry too much about it, then again I just got by. Curing injuries was good as well. It gave a more realistic feel to the game. If you fell from a high place, you ran the chance of breaking your leg, etc. All in all, I think this game has been the best I've played so far this year. *sniffs the air* Game of the Year anyone. :D

Tactical espionage gaming at its best

This game shows that even a weaker console such as the PS2 can create incredible games. It captures the gamer in a miraculous recreation of Cold War jungle warfare. The game once again follows the story of the spy code-named Solid Snake, but takes place in the Cold War era. The change of time period is actually a very nice change, and allows for some innovative visuals-such as a very beautifully created nuclear death tank that I personally would love to have the opportunity to hijack. The levels are based around Snake and his attempts to kill several ominously named bosses such as "The Fear," and "The Darkness." Snake is equipped with weapons, gadgets, and tools (even a fake-death pill), which can be used at any point during the game for some wonderfully orchestrated escapes or killings. The time period and graphics aren't the only thing that have changed, either. There is now a stealth meter that tells you how hidden you are at any given time, and should never be neglected. You can now also unlock different disguises tht can be used seriously or to just goof off (you can dress in camoflage that is adorned with bananas or poop). Eating also plays a vital role in game play, and you can catch things such as rodents, birds, and snakes in your fully interactive environment (hence the name "Snake-Eater") which effect the stanima and strength of Snake. There are even unlockabl mini games (one of which is a hilarious spoof in which Snake catches the monkies from the game "Ape Escape"), and different game modes and opportunities that effect the game play and storyline (you can kill bosses during cut scenes, and skip their sometimes lengthy and difficult battles that would occur later in the game). Though some people say that Metal Gear Solid 3 is not "Splinter Cell quality," they are more correct than they know, because Snake Eater is well above the quality level of the former, and is a damn good game that is well worth the money and time you spend on it.
