This game is really fun to play. I get addicted to it real easily. The game sicks with the story from X. The gaphics look like the same from X-2. Taht ids the only downside to this game. Other than that it is a realy great game
I hate giddy girl moments

Being a Final Fantasy Fan myself, I was quite excited to hear that a true sequal was coming out. But I was yet to be disapointed. Although it offers some good graphics and decent gameplay, certain elements just brought this game down. Apparantly two years after the defeat of Sin, Rikku shows Yuna a sphere with Tidus in it. So she sets out on a silly quest full of girly rivalries and embarisingly corny "let's go team!" moments. The graphics and backgrounds are good and lifelike. The animation is also first rate. But I would have like more interactivity in them. Now let's get down to the annoying stuff. The real time battles are more exciting, but navigating the text in the menues can be a real nerve racking situation with fiends hitting you every second. The garment grids are just plain stupid and take away from the fun of finding that awesome weapon. It also takes the customization that was available to you in X away. Also, theres only 3 characters. This makes levelling up really borin. In X, when you where in a situation that you had to level up, you could switch it up with different characters and minigames, but even the mini games are messed up and boring. But the worst things are the cutscenes. I felt embarissed just watching them. Between Yuna all dressed up and singing pop songs and Rikku dancing around like a cute little bunny just isn't for the group of people who are ardent fans of Final Fanatasy. I give them mark's for trying to lighten the mood, but it's over done in this case. Even Paine doesn't help the situation have some dignity. Overall, Final Fantasy X-2 is relatively enjoyable with some solid visuals and gameplay, but each has it's down side as well. The only thing they got perfect where the abundant side quests, which were a good distraction from the horrors of the "Charlie's Angels moments." And yes, I quoted GamePro, because they hit the mark right on the dot with that one.
Sometimes the hype is better than the game.

I have always been a fan of the Final Fantasy series. So the prospect of the first true FF sequel had me pacing in aticipation. The hype surrounding the game had me ready to believe this was one of the best FF games since FFVII. Alas, it was not to be. While I will concede that the game was enjoyable in a campy, Charlie's Angels sort of way, I was dissapointed it did not meet my expectations. The Summonings were gone, which I can accept, and I thought the dressheres were different ,in a good way. The Special dresspheres were a complete pain and I never used them... too much trouble. While some of the dress spheres actually made the game enjoyable (Samurai, Black Mage, Beserker), others were all but useless( Songstress, Mascot?!?!?!?!). The campiness did wear off about half-way through the game and for the first time ever I put down a Final Fantasy game, unfinished with 1/2 a Chapter to go, and started on another game. Now I only play for a few minutes at a time when I have nothing better to do. Of course I will eventually finish the game sometime this year, but no big hurry. I think people unfamiliar with the FF fracnchise will be turned away only to return cautiously. This game is for true hardcore fans and even then it still is only a moderately fun game. If not for the attachement to the Final Fantasy series, I believe this game would have come and gone completely unnoticed.
this is kinda of a let down....

Has anyone ever noticed you can see payne's crack when you use the gunner dressphere on her. This game has some neat graphics but the shadow effects need some work. This games storyline is almost as good as final fantasy 7's. Kinda kinky with all the woman for players though.

I think Final Fantasy X-2 is a real good game, and ws such a character improvement from Final Fantasy X. Yuna actually is more free spirited in this game, Rikku is pretty much the same, and there is Paine, the one that keeps focused on the misson at hand. The gameplay is really good and fast paced, so try Final Fantasy X first before actually getting involved into this fast pace title.
I am still a summoner people! read it if you know the ending

The game had a great storyline as far as a sequel goes. I liked how they developed the storyline. Gameplay was great, but then again, FF games normally have good gameplay anyway. It was a decent length overall. I really enjoyed the game and think that you will as well!!
very nice...not the best o no man
