Being the sequel to Final Fantasy X, I came into this game with very high expectations for it. Unfortunately, this game far from lived up to my hopes. The game play was simply a continuation of X, adding no new elements (apart from the dress spheres) to liven it up. The dress spheres were a disappointing move away from the sphere grid, which I would have much preferred. The story line was also a huge letdown, reducing the cliffhanger from X to the status of a series of side-quests. The game was a disappointing sequel, but not altogether bad. It had some redeeming characteristics, but I could not get past my disappointment to call this game anything other than average.

It isn't the best FF game, and it doesn't have that good old FF feel to it, but it's an okay game. Just give it a chance. Don't let prejudice keep you from having fun on this sequel.

A spin off of FFX this game takes place like 2 years after FFX. The story to this game is lame not good at all, game has a goofy corney feel to it's weird not you're original FF game thats for sure, but the games battle system is pretty good I was expecting a better story out of this game.
Not the best sequel....

Well...this was one of the biggest ff game for me since crystal caravans. I mean it ditched the old classical turn-based style and not only that, but it changed yuna's personality completely...and I guess she revealed her true self, I didn't like it. The mulitple classes was a good idea, but it could use a lot of improvement. The blitz games have changed, that went down for me as well.....X was better for you were the actual player instead of the coach. the only thing that kept me going was the occasional, event drama, and the ending. No, but I don't mean just any ordinary ending...I mean the 100 percent ending. In total there are three endings......(use codebreaker=ez 100 percent)I don't wanna spoil it, but I'll tellyou the perfect ending is the best..someone makes a comeback...A good idea, but not executed correctly. Let's see if there are any more ff games that star tidus yuna wakka, or any of the others.........
Final Fantasy X-2 - a bad sequel

Final Fantasy X was probably the greatest Final Fantasy game since Final Fantasy VII. It had a great story, great graphics, and it was a very enjoyable game experience. Unfortunately, it's sequel, Final Fantasy X-2 was nothing compared to it. The graphics seem similar but I think that FFX's are better. The mini games that were so fun and easy to understand in FFX were destroyed and replaced by sphere break, the gunners gauntlet, and a revamped version of blitzball. All horrible. The Blitzball that FFX fans loved was destroyed and made so you barly even played anything in it. many gamers i know didn't even know bliztball was still in the game. The biggest problem was the elimination if the sphere grid. They had taken a new levels system. In FFX your character really seemed to get stronger and learn more abilities. Now they have levels where you can barely tell the strength difference and they have sphere as weapons. Probably the only good parts of this game are the music and yuor ability to start a new game with all your spheres and stuff. This game is an utter dissapointment.

It Started 2 Years Ago..In Spira,A World Of Fiends And Summoners. The Blitzball Player From A City Destroyed By A Monster 1000 Years ago, by a monster Named Sin.In this Sequal Of That Game,Yuna,Paine,Rikku will set out on a journey as The Gullwings to find The Blitzball player of 1000 years pass. This Games Featured Garment Grid System Is A New Twist Similar to the "Job Change" Access In Final Fantasy 11: Online. From Warrior,To Mage. This Game Takes A Strange New Plot Also. Not Being Able to play With Interchangeable players like that in the Pre-qual, you must play as the Main Characters, Rikku, An Al Bed Girl Who Helped Yuna Fight Sin 2 Years Ago. Paine, A Girl With a quick temper, And Yuna, Daught Of High Summoner Braska. Enjoy this RPG!

The game itself is a mixture of a great story and battle system, this game is a must have for an RPG gamer. As with all th other normal FF games, there is NO multiplayer, but the single-player storyline is more than enough to make up for it. The battle system is real-time, transitioning from the field to the battle and back again. This is great. If you completed FFX however, the story is guessable but still enjoyable. The dress-sphere system allows the three girls (Yuna, Rikku, and a new girl, Paine.) to switch jobs and get experience in that job in an instant, whether it be in the battle or out. there are no framerate drops. The glitches are a minimal, if they are there at all.
The WORST disappointment of all time!

Final Fantasy X-2 is somewhat of a spin-off of the stunning Final Fantasy X. Many people that bought this game, however, hoped that it would be a sequel and pick right up where Final Fantasy X left off. Unfortunately, many people were very disappointed quickly when they realized that this game just banks off of the success of its predecessor and can not hold its own. This game is not even good enough to hold a player over until the next major Final Fantasy release of FFXII. The game focuses on the three main female characters in FFX. They form a rock group and apparently fight evil in their spare time. The game is based around changing the girls' wardrobes to give them different special abilities. One of the special abilities of the girls is to be able to sing. For most of the gamers that enjoyed FFX, the fighting strategy of FFX-2 just doesn't cut it. The storyline, and gameplay does not live up to the expectation of Final Fantasy fans. The bottom line is that Final Fantasy X-2 is the biggest disappointment in the series and a product of trying to create a game that stood solely on the success of its former. This is just not acceptable on Square Enix's part. Simply put, stay away from this game. Do not was your time, or put yourself through the disappointment by playing this game. ~Kevin Nuest
Square goes a little crazy

Square has always managed to spice up the formula of the RPG. If I remember correctly, they were one of the first companies to make an RPG with polygons as opposed to sprites. Materia, GFs, item skills, and job classes are just some of the crazy yet remarkably well-integrated systems that square has produced. Anyone who has played these games can probably remember how good they felt when their ALL materia was maxed, or the new world available to them when their Siren GF unlocked the card ability. Square has proven to us that they are geniuses when it comes to making something new. FFX-2 was a drastic departure in style from the previous Final Fantasies, and more importantly a departure from FFX, the game that it was a direct sequel to; the first direct sequel that the company has ever made. People buying FFX-2, even if they were relatively new to the series, knew it would follow the story line of FFX. I expected that it would involve new play mechanics, but I did not expect there to be such an extreme change in the attitude of the characters. It is the characters that fuel Final Fantasy. Regardless of the systems used, without the characters there is no Final Fantasy. The repeating cast from the last game did not have the dramatic presence that they once possessed; the entire tone was changed. Yuna was made into a pop singer. Does anyone understand the weight of that sentence? While the game was fun, and the concepts might have made the game run smoothly, Square stumbled on this chapter of Final Fantasy.
