Rent, before buying

Clock tower 3 is a nice change of pace from traditional horror games, but the fact that it's so short, and tedious really hampers the enjoyment. Where should I start? Having no weapons is a nice little touch as is the panic meter which goes up the longer your around an enemy. ( or get hit by one ) But the fact that the enemy thats chasing you appears every minute, really takes the fun away, as you'll be constantly running away from the enemy every single moment. ( this is to make up for the short game play ) You just don't feel like you have any freedom of the levels. The boss battles are also lacking, not to mention pretty much all the same. The british voice acting is nice but nothing to write home about, the graphics are good but not great. The enemies in the game are also uninspired, it just doesn't seem like much thought went into them. The puzzles are also easy as pie. But compared games like haunting ground, this just fails in conparison. So if you like your games repetitive then you'll love this, if you don't......rent it.

STEALTH/HORROR AT ITS FINEST

As a big fan of Horror games I fell in love with this one from the start. Not like RE games where you blast your way through scary environmets, this one uses your stealth to avoid conflicts till Boss battles. Very well made game with colorful environments and easy to learn controls. Graphics and cut-scenes are fluid and seemless. I liked the fact that you dont have any weapons as you work your way from level to level, forcing you to find hiding spots and to use enemy stunning tactics to escape. Sound and story were excellent and keep your interest throughout the game. Boss battles... great concept in having to hold your magical arrow and aim in order to plant your opponent to the ground for a greater blast. Bosses were well made and had a decent A.I. Not too scary to me but thats cause I play RE and Silent Hill games too much. If you enjoy a well made game with great graphics, control and story with a hint of horror and loads of stealth then get this game. It will be worth your time.

survival/horror or action/adventure

this game is looking fine but is it just me or does this fees like an action/adventure game. the holy water is like your only defense (besides hiding). I would say that you should rent it before anything. so the main question is, is it a good game, you decide.

clock tower 3 has been upgraded!

The best controls, the story is well played, the graphics are pretty good but does have a flaw. When you beat the game, you get a art gallery, hot costumes, and a movie viewer.I would buy this.If your not sure, give it a rent.

Clock Tower 3

With the departure or Resident Evil from the PS2 world, a void needed to be filled. Enter Clock Tower 3. While most people might say "what happened to Clock Tower 1 and 2," I say this; what happened to Clock Tower 1 and 2? Anyway, don't worry about previous storylines, because the game doesn't seem to make any references to past CT games. The graphics are typical Capcom; superb looking Cut Scene cinemas, but the gameplay graphics are of a lesser quality. They are good, but nothing to write home about. You play Alyssa (not Milano, dangit) who returns from boarding school to find out what happened to her mother. Please try to get past the fact that Alyssa looks oriental and was born from British parents. The plot is predictable, but not boring. You will spend the better part of the game looking for keys, solving petty puzzles and running from "Subordinates." They are ruthless killers who have been executed and possesed by, well, I don't want to give too much away. You can't kill them, but you can use your holy water to stall them. You have to evade and hide from them until you reach the boss battles. The battles are easy yet satisfying, as you finally get some payback for being made to run around like a scared little girl. There is not alot of cussing, in fact I think the word "damn" is used only once, but brutally honest scenes of murder are depicted in this game. The game actually accomplishes what it wants and doesn't take long to do it. Rent it before you buy it.
