It seems that I'm not the only one, that didn't the fatalities and also with Quan Chi. Whole "Head Stretch", what's up with that, his should of been more gruesome and more creative. I'm may be hardcore fan for MK, but come on. The receiving characters thing could of been more easier. It took me an while to figure out with hidden solution, like who wanna going to sit there and figure out the mystery out of 600+ coffins. It almost took me more than two days to figure it out. Even-through it's an great to have and all the ratings for control should be 4.0, because really did test my limits of speed, precision, and timing. Most important of all test skills on the highest skill level, this is only 5th fighting game that test my skills of being one of the best, an true master!!!

Mortal Kombat, one of the longer running fighting series. I remember the first mortal kombat, with less than ten characters and barely and speach. Its a wonder how they went from that to Deadly Alliance. Sure the fatalities have always been there, but in Deadly Alliance they seem a little dry. I've noticed how they always focus on the head or torso (Instead of ripping of the arms "Jax's older fatality")It seems as though many aspects of the game were a bit rushed and over thought. Could they have done better? Most deffinitly. But to the new fans of the series they don't reconize the little flaws in the game like the lack of diversity. ( Like Freeze and Subzero.) All they did with Freeze and Sub-Zero was take some of Sub's moves and take them away and put them on Freeze, she's nothing new. And her fatality is also one of Sub's Older ones. But besides the lack of new inovative and inspiring moves, the game playes just great. Its a deffinite buy, even if ur favorite character is gone. (Why oh why did they get rid of Anube.)
Great game.. but lacks it's heart.

This is probably the best Mortal Kombat when it comes to the fighting... but when it comes down to the trademark fatalities... it bites the dust. Mortal Kombat is known for its gory and outrageous fatalities. But Ed Boon and the team seem to have run out of ideas for finishing opponents off. There are a couple of good fatalities.. but some of the dumbest and most boring to watch fatalities creeped their way into this game. How unfortunate... now if only MK2 and MK:DA swapped fatalities... I'd be a happy camper.
Best MK since MK2

By far the most awsome MK in history! Except they could have maybe put in a few more special moves and 1 more fatality each. The konquest is a cool addition but the arcade is extreamly difficult over the other MK titles. Only thing i really dislike is the movement from old MK goodness to Tekken and Virtual Fighter fighting.
Mortal Kombat...wow...

This is a good fighter. All the basic elements. But that's the only thing. When I first started playing this, i thought it was the best game ever. Now that I get farther into it, I see how mediocre it is. I'm still happy to see a new Mortl Kombat out, but it could use some work. Graphics- 4.5: This is one thing the designers did good job on. The charaters are very detailed, and the blood that shows up is a sweet effect. Sound- 4.0: Your average MK sound effects ( FINISH HIM! ) Control- 4.5: Easy enough to learn. The combos and fatalities can be ridiculously long sometimes. Fun Factor- 4.0: Satisfies my thirst for blood, for now. But, it still leaves a little something to be desired...

What can you say about the new mortal kombat game? i know what you can say, MORTAL KOMBAT IS BACK TO TAKE ITS RIGHTFUL PLACE AS KING OF THE FIGHTING GAMES. that's what you can say. the controls are right on, but there can be times when you go to do a move, like scorpions fire kick, but you'll end up doing a regular kick. other than that, they are sweet. but one thing you'll notice, is that the a.i. is just the same as in the other mortal kombat games. let's take moloch for example. i was playing as scorpion against him. i pulled out my sword and i was stomping him i mean he only got one hit on me. but come round 2, i got destroyed, literally. mortal kombat has cheap a.i. very cheap, you'll have to play a match like 20 times to beat someone if you're not very good. there are the "ugh" "ahh" sounds everywhere, but if you hear johnny cage grunt, then like mavado grunt, they sound the same! i gotta rave aboot the graphics (a little south park there) the graphics are amazing, blood flying out of people, bruises on the players after the fights and during, articles of clothing falling off, simple amazing. there are loads to unlock, but it might take you forever with MK's cheap a.i. to not let you win any matches to get kombat koins! the mini games are back, test your might and sight, awesome. i totally recommend this game to any fighting game fan. it will renew the faith that fans had in the series and bring new fans to it.

If your a fan of the series you'll love the game. It is a change from the original in fighting but kept the MK feel. It needs more fatalities per character plus where is the DAM online. How the hell do you make MK and not make it XBOX live. The best part of the game is playing other people. Wake up programers, release a live update for this game!!!

Great game. Definitely the best in the series. Only thing I thought was missing is each character only having one fatality. The addition of the fatality mode (pressing L1 at the FINISH HIM/HER screen) was a great time saver, but it become monotonous seeing the same thing over and over again as you sit there addicted for hours. All in all though, great game, great story line, beautiful graphics, definitely a must have for any fan of fighting games.
