I am not a sports fan, but as soon as I started this game I fell in love with it. The graphics are beautiful, the sounds are lush and the controls couldn't possibly be more perfect. If only the announcer's comments weren't so repetitive. Still, that doesn't take away this games quality.

2K3 keeps tradition alive, making sega's sports franchise the best on ps2. The gameplay is amazing, making things more challenging, for peolpe like me who felt 2K2 was getting a little easy. The gameplay sliders are the game's coolest new toy, making the challenge as tough as u want it. If i didnt compliment the franchise mode though, id be crazy. The way that u can control everything, from coach signings to rookie scouting is amazing. The fact that u can do all that makes u feel like a real gm. By far, 2K3 is the best b-ball game that has yet to hit PS2. ---By the way, to mullethuntin, u obviously have no idea what you are talking about, giving 2K3 a 1. If u had even the slightest intrest in simulated basketball, u would give it at least a 3.5. Gimme a break. Its just frustrating that people like u, who never play these kind of games, give it a bad score cause its too hard or too complicated for u. If its too hard for u, play NBA Street, its a little easier and u may be able to figure out that simulated basketball is too good for u

graphics are good . unlike most basketball game..or any other sports game for that matter..the ball doesn't magically "appear" in your hands when you steal the ball. thye make it look like you got the ball from your oopenent. controls.you can totally school the guy in front of you and still take a nice dunk out of it.only problem is that the replays get annoying after a while but an excellent game.

ThIS game kicks ass! the graphics rock and even tho SOMETIMES the replay is slow, the fun of the game makes up for it, im tellin u, GET THIS GAME ASAP

This game really came as a great big dissapointment to me...It looked so cool, but as i played it i couldnt do anything and got my ass kicked...Im gald someone else saw my point.

I've played all of the NBA 2K games and it gets better every year. Funny when I'm playing it sometimes my godfather thinks its a real game. I still miss the old way to do the ally opps, but oh well. All the arenas look real and the players look so real, its freaks ya out a little. VC and Sega Sports just keep making the game better every year.

yes i'll admitt it, i am and have been an NBA live fanboy since the first one came to SNES back in the day. But, after the rewarding NBA 2K3 came out I have a different game plan if you know what I mean. I play it every chance I get. The only downside is that if you were looking for a good online play... you better keep looking cuz ya cant even update the rosters through online, plus for me, playing 5 min. quarters all the time is kind of a pain in the... but it deffinetly beats the competition by the length of the court.

I have both NBA Live 2003 and NBA 2K3. I believe both are worthy BBall Games in their own right. NBA 2K3 has good graphics and the in-game sounds are adequate. But what makes this game the King is the most important part of a Great Basketball game and that is accurate, addictive gameplay true to NBA Basketball. This is the ONE BIG MISTAKE EA Sports continues to make, they are far too into what the game Looks Like instead of How the Game Plays. (Actually NBA Live 2003 would be an awesome game if they allowed the player to adjust the Player Speed as mentioned below.) This game plays perfectly, defensively, offensively this game is truely awesome. One Note: Adjust the Player Speed to the Maximum and you may want to adjust the Game Speed from Normal to Fast, when you first play this game on the Default Settings it is a little slow. I can't stop playing this game, I love NBA 2K3.

nba 2k3 is the best bball game ever the ai is great so is the d. if you know nothing about backetball and only wnat an offensive game that requires no skill buy live 2003 but if your a real fan and want to play against players on defense and not sticks choose segas 2k3

this is the game to have- if you buy the other guy basketball game you dont know what you ar missing, nba2k3 in my opinion is the very best b- ball game to date BUT IT HAS ONE BUG!! For some reason the game makes you WARP OUT OF BOUNDS!! what you think im saying well let me explain-- sometimes you can have the ball and all of a sudden the computer says out of bounds and I checked the replay and the computer made me warp out of bounds for the turn over when I had the ball near the free-throw line to begin with. If this aint ah major bug then what is it--other than this the game is perfect. this bug happened to me three times with- in 10 games played!!
