Real blast to play!

This game is better than any other that I have played. I mean with the other games, when people are having trouble go to Gamefaqs.com for help. But NOT with this game, you practically have ot figure out everything on your own!

Violent yet great!

I really enjoyed this game and finished it in 12 hours! But let me tell you...IT WAS TOUGH AND SO TOUGH YOU MIGHT HAVE A HIGH TEMPER AT THIS POINT. There are points in the game where you will fall off a building and go back all the way to the beginning!

Challenging and totally frustrating!

Yeah, I gave this game a perfect score for one reason: The challenging fights. Some boss fights can get a little extreme and seem impossible, but is all about timing and critical thinking of what to do. I really love this game, but don't expect to finish this game THAT easily.

Shinobi

Although to some players it may be a little too hard, Shinobi does succeed in being one of the most stylish games on the market. The game is simple on the surface, but insanely complex after you get into it. Your sword, Akujiki, is fed by fallen enemies. As time passes in the game, if you don't kill enemies, the sword will drain your life. To feed the sword, you need to kill enemies as quickly and in as vast of numbers as possible. Doing so makes the sword more powerful and able to kill most foes in a single blows. Even boss characters find half of their life drained from the sword. The game's difficulty comes from the bosses and the obstacles that you must overcome in each level; not from the normal enemies. After you learn to control what is going on in the game, it becomes very gratifying. Finishing off a gang of four enemies triggers a bad-ass cutscene in which your enemies literally fall to pieces. This even happens to boss characters after you get good enough. Thanks to short but sweet CG cinemas, the game hardly ever strays from its action roots. All in all, the game isnot meant for everyone. The patient gamer however, will find Shinobi to be one of the most fullfilling experiences seen in a long time.
