It really shocks me how this game could be given a lower score compared to Rygar. Rygar's action does not even come close to Shinobi's slice and dice action. Its graphics are not as stylish as new games but the backgrounds are not pre-rendered, the game is fully 3d. I think gamers have been complaining that games are too easy nowadays but when something like this comes along we turn around and say its just to damn hard. So if you love ninja games and dont mind starting all over on difficult levels when you die and love adventures, this game is for you.

Shinobis a pretty good game. The graphics are great for what the PS2 can do. If you like ninja's then you will probobly like this game. Although the challenge of the game may be too much for some gamers patience

Awesome!!!If you expect to beat this game in 2 days then think again!!! This game is one of the hardest i've played!!!But also one of the funnest.If you like games where you can run on walls and slash people with your sword than buy this!!!

Shinobi is an overall great game. I'm so glad to finally play a game that is actually challenging. Very few games nowadays require a person to use his/her total skill to beat. Play Shinobi on the hardest challenge and you will understand. The graphics are pretty damn good as far as PS2 games go compared to other next generation systems, but the sound leaves something to be desired. I guess they wanted to go for that 70's Kung Fu drive in cinema sound quality. Gameplay is fast paced and involving. If you own a PS2 you owe it to yourself to buy this game. Ninjas are cool.

shinobi to me is a crappy game. they only focus on the people graphics, not the surroundings. the videos are good though.

Ah, yes. Shinobi is most definately back. I have waited years for another Shinobi game( espacially after Shinobi Legions on Saturn was a bomb), and now I have it. Why is it so darn hard ! This isn't friggn' Ninja Gaiden for God's sake! Sadly, it is a little tougher than I expected. The graphics are decent, but the camera angles can be horrible( Like in spider/tiger boss battle im 3-b). The control can get annoying too when you are fighting multiple enemies, which means all of the time. I guess it has a small learning curve. Over all, I enjoyed the difficult experience, and am happy to play through it again. Shinobi's back!!!

Overall.. this game is pretty good.. I can't really complain about anything. The game is very challenging once you get to the point where you have to use the sky attack.. but once you get used to it.. it becomes second nature. This game takes lots of practice and probably isn't for rookie gamers. But if your into arcade games or even ninjas ( who isn't ? ).. then this game is very highly recommended. This says alot from my other reviews about other " top games of the year. "

It's a good game to play if into that ninja stuff. Or a fan of Shinobi. The story line and characters make it excellent. Plus, I love playing it everytime.

The game had great playing and full plots.But terriable scenes and awfull surroundings..The game was fun, but go boring surroindings.
