Game info: Name: Pokemon ruby/sapphire Genre: RPG Platform: Nintendo gameboy advance Rating: Graphics 4/5 Gameplay 4/5 Replay value 5/5 controlls 5/5 music 5/5 overall 5/5 Synopses: In Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire you can choose to either play as a boy or as a girl. in pokemon R/S you travel the world of hoenn searching for powerful creatures known as pokemon. your main goal in the game is catch all 386 of these mystical creatues. allthough there are many sidequests, the other main idea is too collect all 8 gym badges by battling with your pokemon and the challenging the elite 4, 4 of the best pokemon trainers in all of Hoenn. Review: Well I'm cutting it a little slack because I'm a big pokemon fan. But the game truely is great. The Graphics are awesome, and it's fun to play over and over again. It's a worthy RPG that any fan of the dragon warrior or Golden sun series would probably enjoy. well, In conclusion, pokemon is an awesome RPG for any gamer ages 6-16 the battles may get a little old, but the story doesn't I give it a 9/10.
Picaku I chose some green dude.

I thought this was a great game. The sounds and envirements make you think you a pokemon master going out to catch all the pokemon. tI really liked that you don't start off with that little fat yellow rat. This is why it is a great game. Alos the story is brand new. They have tons of new creatures to catch. They grafics aren't great, but its gameboy. Also I had to play the game for about 50 or so hours to get the full effect of the game. So don;t expect a short game. Unless you are the kind who rushes throough games to finish them( I am the complete opisite.) This game made gameboy selling millions so that enouth is proof its a good game. Also I havent played the Ruby version this is all about the Sapphire.
Fun

It was fun, but I think I'm going to stop playing pokemon, because it is getting old. So that's where I stand on my score. 4.0
NOT QUITE INNOVATIVE

Well at first the pokemon mania in gameboy color was acceptable, but making the games so repetitive its kinda boring at times, catch, train, catch, train. It offers good graphics but the producers think that all the owners of a Gameboy Advance have enought money to get the other pokemon from the other versions. There should be many more pokemon available. And the quest wasnt so long, there should have been returns to the pokemon silver/gold places like in those games where you could return at the blue/red/yellow places.

I had high expectations on this game, and Nintendo kind of meets them. The pokemon series do not feel repetitive even if you play it for long hours. Maybe that's why everyone's so crazed about this game. Ruby and Sapphire still has that and more. The graphics are better than the previous games but is just average compared to other GBA games, the sounds are better too. So no matter what some people(who think they're cool if they don't play pokemon) say, the new pokemon games are great.

Excellent. In Gold, I've played over 700 hours of Pokemon training. Now Ruby...the game is just an upgrade of Gold which makes it more addictive, more time consuming, and more fun. The only improvement? None, to me, this is the best GBA game so far.

I was pretty skeptical about buying this game and I only did it because all my friends were to and wer going to have a tournament and needed another person. So i picked it up. I'm not that far into it and already i like it. The graphics are very well updated for the GBA and the battling animations utilize the gba's power well. The game could have possibly given more direction. I have heard/wanted to hear Gotcha catch um all in a whole long time. However this time, I'm glad I listened. Pick it up for a good time.
Are they ever going to run out of dumb names for pokemon?

these ones rule! they are better than all the rest. The graphics are great and the doors on the houses actually open when you go inside!! But in a way its kind of pathetic because i thinl there are enough pokemon and they are starting to run out of names and designs for them.

Pokemon ruby and sapphire are arguably the best pokemon games to come.Although i'm dissappointed that the improvements on it were minor (especcially since its on GBA)but even so its still great. This a game that you shouldnt judge until YOU have PLAYED it COMPLETLY
