This game has much to give to any star wars fan. Taking place 1000 years before the first movie, you bulid your character into the vast universe including Dantoine, Taris, Tatoine, Koribine, and Manaan. Building your character, you can chose from 3 classes. A scout, skilled at computer use and tecnology of any sort. A scoundrel, priding himself of stealth and cunning to get out of any situation. A soldier, unmatched in the field of battle. As you fight, do missions, and progresse in the game you gain experience and level up. Once you do so you get a lest of skills and feats you can gain. There are tons of feats and force powers that can be learned. Many can never learn them all making this game fun to play over and over. As you go along in the game, depending on your actions, you can become an evil sith or follow the light and fight for the republic. Even though everything can become overwelming alot of things are to be remembered such as forcelighting and force push. This game is no dought game of the year.

Excellant Game another must have for the XBOX. I personally have no problems with the fighting system or controls. The Story is so much better then Episode 2. For Star Wars Fans this is another MUST HAVE!!

There are a select few who actually dont like the star wars universe. Not including me. But when those people speak out they sure do speak out. Including a couple on this website. This game is a true contribution to the xbox franchise. Thats right no other star wars game could top this anytime or anywhere. BRING IT ON STAR WARS HATERS. The Jedi will counqer.

Out of all the games I have played, this game is one of the best. The fighting is different, but thats the only problem. The story is very interesting and is very involved. I think its cool, how doing one thing at the beginning of the game, can change everything. I also love the Light/Dark side thing, it makes for some cool events. one last thing THIS GAME ROCKS

GRAPHICS- 4.5...Every planet is well detailed, characters look surprisingly well-done, and images are godlike...it's a shame to say that some of the animation and visuals are rushed! SOUND- 5.0...Star Wars has never sounded this unique...the music matches the gameplay correctly and sound effects make the player's ear bleed until it explodes!! CONTROL- 4.5...While the control options are straight-forward and battle controls are varied form Horrible to Great!, The amount of things you can do with your controller in this game is mighty impressive! FUN FACTOR- 5.0...Star Wars: Kotor is easliy the best RPG on the Xbox! Sound is awesome, The story is incredible, The A.I is amazing,...Oh, The list goes on and on and on....If this aint your cup of tea!?...then you must absolutely HATE Tea!!!

the gfx's are Technologically impressing, But I question the artistic direction of the game, I am not very far in the game, Taris was not looking very good to me. The poly's are there but the maps are not so great.. Dantoine is very repetitive... the animation is generally good, but sometime without gravity.. and the design of character/ monsters, ... are very normal nothing great. The fact that your character is never "speaking" is breaking the flow of conversation. and The aliens are repeating the same sound over, and over and over... I was confused sometime to who I spoke because there is a limited variation of NPC models, the cinematic are very poor looking. The technical part of the game is almost great, a few game design concept could be better and the art director should get fired! But a game is not just about the grafix the gameplay is also important, and most important the story and character dev. The gameplay is good enough and the story is great and this make Kotor a awsome RPG, if I close my eyes and imagine the wolds and character (like we had to do on the sega master system with Phantasy star I > still my best Rpg ever) I can enjoy playing kotor ( i just played 27.35 hrs in 3 days) I have to give it a 3.75 because of the poor artwork if it wasn't from that I would give it a 4.75 because everything else is awesome! Maybe you should rent the game first play 10 hrs and see if you like it or not before you buy it! T

Simply put, the game is easily the best RPG if not THE best game out for the Xbox right now. The game is so much fun, and lets you live every Star Wars dream you have wanted to yourself. The game is also very long, and the Dark Side and Light Side paths are actually very different from each other, which adds replay value. The battle system is also fun and different in its own way. It is kind of real time and kind of turn based. Battles look great, with any weapon you choose. The control is simple and straightforward. After the slight learning curve, you will be giving party commands like second nature. Even if you are not a Star Wars fan, I still suggest you get this game. It is the best Star Wars game ever made, if not the best RPG ever made. If you are a Star Wars fan, you would be crazy not to buy this. You do everything from building your own Lightsaber to Dressing up in Sand People Clothing.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a very excellent game! It is one of the best RPGs for the Xbox, if not the best. The Xbox needed this one. Bioware made a very good choice by selecting some original music and languages from Star Wars. The voiceovers are a very good addition to the game and made the game worth the time spent listening to everything the characters had to say. I really enjoyed being able to customize every attribute of the characters. The characters are designed very well and the graphics are excellent. The backgrounds are very high detailed compared to other games. The planets and characters look as if they came straight out of the Star Wars movies. The cut-scenes are smooth and entertaining.They add a lot to the story and make the game more interesting. The gameplay has the right amount of challege the action of the game needed. The choice is yours the Light side or the Dark side. Buy this one! This is the Xboxs perfect RPG!

The first thing I will say about this game is that it is actually better the episodes 1 and 2 put together.You may say that that isn't saying much.however it gives you everything that made us fall in love with SW in the first place.It pulles you in with a great story that makes sense and gives you freedom and control.You will actually want to watch the cinema scenes over during the repeated play.And replay,you will..You decide whether you go dark or light.It has a destinct Morrowind feel to it(with better control and A.I. balance.)This game is non-stop fun and doesn't get boring.Game moment after game moment.Finally you can weild a Lightsaber in the game and it look like a battle like the movies.The sabres actually touch!Dispite the enormouse size of the game,it's greatness will leave you wanting more.The graphics are smooth and polished.Even if non role-players will have to give this a try.Well worth the wait and better than expected.This game raises the standard of console gaming to the next level.No matter how you look at it,the force is strong with this one.
