the only thinig that i did not like was the fact that all the cars have similar sonds.exp:the slow cars sound the same,when it was a fast one it sounded thesame too,ex...and thats the only thing i didnt like

This game is awsome, the only problem is when you have to heal. Why do you have to lean up against a wall. Sometimes this game can be hare. But its FUN.

This game simply does not work. The Physics of this game are absouloutly horrible. Think about why do you have to hold down a button just to have to press another button to shoot. How Lame is that.

I thought this was gonna be just like vice city... I was WRONG this game has every little detail imaginable! The cars are real the streets are real and takes violent crime games to yet another level. I still love vice city but the getaway is even harder!! This is the 2nd best game i have ever played, the first being Grand Theft Auto Vice City!

This game is better than GTa for several reason and these reasons make the game better. The graphics are far better than GTa and they have real car unlike GTA. They do not have 4 of the same people walking side by side on the same street. It has the best cinematics and voice acting ever

this game is amazing, not being GTA is the best part. i like more of a real game. GTA is very unrealistic, which a lot of people like. i like GTA, but the getaway was different. no bullet counter, no map, no health meter, real cars, lotsa fun. buy the game, its hard, but dont be a little punk and quit just because the controls are a little scetchy

Throw out the Health Bars... Get rid of the Crosshairs, This is "The Getaway". "The Getaway" is kind of like a Vice City, but with a dark twist. You can speed down the streets of London throwing off the cops, and walk through the city killing anyone you see. One of the features I like in this game is that you can take hostages to get the police to stop shooting. It comes in handy when your car's wrecked and your surrounded by cops. You can do that or you can just hijack someone elses car. That's right... just kick them outta there and drive off. You can steal anything from a Police Car to a Double-Decker Bus to a Viper. Anything you see is yours for the keeping.

-The Story-

Now, The Story behind this game is that your character, Mark Hammond, has had his wife murdered and his son kidnapped by the Bethnal Green Mob. Charlie Jolson, the leader of the green mob, is making Mark blow up places, steal artifacts, and many other things. Mark doesn't really have a choice, because if he doesn't do it then his son will be killed, and the story unravels from there.

-Features-

There's no healthbars in this game so, I bet you're wondering how to tell when you're almost dead? Easy! Just see how bruised up his face is and how much blood is running down his back and stomach. To target someone just press the R1 button, and press it again to target someone else. It's pretty Easy. One of the only things I don't like is to heal yourself you have to stand against the wall, and wait...and wait.... and wait... and wait. It sounds like a pretty good idea but doesn't seem so cool in the game.

I would give this game a 5.0 but some people may become frustrated by the difficulty of some levels. The gun fighting and driving are cool but, lack of weapons are a issue. There's only like six weapons i wanted to see a chainsaw, pipe, rocketlauncher or uzis. Other than that this game is very good

I would not even think about giving this game a 5. Its a great game don't get me wrong, but its main flaw is having to watch the movie clips over and over again. I think anyone can agree with me when i say you should be able to skip the clips... mikecooker@hotmail.com
