May select something else. Burnout is a soild racer. When you run into cars it's really coooool. But it's not the beat racer out there. Get NFS:HP2. However, this is game that at least should be rented.

I have three complaints about Burnout. First, it took me about ten hours to unlock absolutely everything it had to offer, and feeling no compulsion to continue playing, I traded it in for a new release. The replay value just isn't there. Second, the music is weak. Third, the computer opponent cars operate on a rubber band A.I., meaning that even if you've watched them crash five times, if you mess up once then they speed right past you into first place. Those are the reasons why I docked the game a full point. But let's not neglect to praise Burnout's two strongpoints, namely its blistering graphics and perfect controls. First, Burnout's graphic engine runs beautifully, giving a true sense of high speed and danger as oodles of speeding cars stand in the way of victory. The framerate has to be excellent (and it is) as you'll need split-second reflexes on the cluttered roads. Second, you'll also need your controller to respond to those split-second reflexes, and once again, Burnout delivers. Now that it's a budget title I highly recommend Burnout's 10-hour experience. If you can find a friend to play with you, the replay is further extended.
one of the best racing games for any platform

Very good, wait not good, EXCELLENT! the game is rent worthy for any of the systems, but the gamecube version that i played ruled! not only that nintendo rules! gamecube is the best, i guess the saying is true: BIG THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES!(xbox sucks)

This game has amazing control its like if its reading your mind the graphics make up for its lame soundtrack what really sucks is when you crash and it shows the replay and you get really tired of watching yourself crash. this game is best played as a rental.

This game i did not like. For the xbox and this. The graphics for this game are not too well. 3.5 for the graphics. The sound for this game is ok. 3.0 for the sound. The controls are easy for the Xbox cause i love all the Xbox controls, but really never did care for the GameCube controls. So 3.5 for the controls for this game for the GameCube. I never did care for racing games so that is also another reason hy my score is gonna be a little bit lower. The crash scenes gt very boring of seeing. So i say rent this game first and see if you like it.
