Okay, let's get this out on the table, it's a game about a dolphin. Go ahead and laugh. Now that that is out of your system, let's talk about one of the hardest yet extremely enjoyable games ever created. This is possible the only game I've played that made me want to throw my controller through a window and sit and watch the beautifully lush scenery in the same sitting. This is game is amazingly hard. The developers must have something against our dolphin friends since every time Ecco turns a corner something is ready to take his head off. Yet, don't let the difficulty deter you from enjoying this game. The music and surroundings that Ecco makes his way through are some of the best ever seen in a video game. And the controls make the expirience that much better. If you can sit through this dolphin torture-fest then you will be completely satisfied by the ending. I won't recommend this game to everyone because a few people will never get over the fact that it's a game about a dolphin, possibly one of the least threatening animals on this planet. Yet, if you care to try, you won't be disappointed.

The main reason I purchased a Dreamcast was to play ETDDOTF. I enjoyed the difficulty of the game, it`s graphics, music etc.. The control is fantastic also. Now that I will no longer be able to buy a Dreamcast if mine breaks down, at least I can still play one of the most beautiful games ever made. I should know, I`ve had every single console since Pong back in the late seventies. ECCO has a ton of levels that get harder as you progress. I judge games not only on graphics, but on how your fingers and thumb feel after a lenthy period of play. In-game music is also very very important to me. So, I give ECCO tddotf a 5 out of 5 - a 10 out of 10 - a well, you know. Gamepro.com is #1 in my book. Keep up the good work. ( how about sending me a T-shirt huh!)
