The Resident evil remake is a REALLY great game. Needless to say, it is a remake of the classic resident evil for the PSX, but it has a lot of changes and innovations up its sleeve. Never has the Spencer mansion been this creepy before, and the fact that this game has terrific graphics and almost photo-realistic pre-rendered environments just add to the atmosphere. Oh yeah, the atmosphere is perfect. The soundtrack is creepy, the zombies are as brain dead as ever, the story has a few more additions to it(the puzzles as well), and the overall game is one that will scare you for a good while. It proved that the gamecube could indeed deliver in the graphics department, and oh, is it a remake to own.

After I got a Wii, I quicklky beat all of my Wii titles and went out and picked up several gamecube games for it. One of which was the Resident Evil remake. It had been years since I have played the classic Resident Evil, and after playing this gem, I know what made me fall in love with the Resident Evil franchise. The biggest upgrade of course is of course the graphics. To say there amazing is a huge understatement. It's comparable to many PS3 and 360 graphics and the only that keeps the graphics from being perfect is the brulry shadows. But there's more to the game then the graphics of course. The controls are the typical tank contols altough they do have some unique control options that let you experience the game in multiple ways. The game is also long, w/ tons of unique puzzles, multiple enviorments to work your way through and once you get started, it will be hard to put the controller down. The games cutscenes are also well done and a vast improvement over the original live action ones. If your a fan of the Resident Evil franchise, or new to the series, I highly recomend this wonderful game.
loved it

well If you like the shit scared out of you then by all means get this game. that is pretty much the only good quality. the controls suck, the combat sucks along with it. It is a good game. because the graphics and things are good. I bought this game thinking It would be a shooter. Wrong its a game kind of like this: go in a room, get a key, leave the room take down a painting, then unlock a box behind the painting to get another key, then you put the key in a door to get a gem, and so on. so if you like puzzles that are almost impossible, then by all means, get this game. a 3... out of 5
Evil is back and in a whole new form!

For any playstation junky who has a Gamecube, Resident Evil Remake is a must have for all the Resident Evil fans out there. This is how Resident Evil is suppose to look, dark, gritty, and zombie in your face action. Storyline - 4.75/5.0 It's the same ol' Resident Evil storyline you know from the orginal, just a bit more added to the detail. The S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team is sent to investigate the mysterious crash of Bravo Team into the desolate Arklay Mountains north of Raccoon City. They discover the crash site only to encounter Cerberus creatures chasing them. The S.T.A.R.S. Team is forced to fall back and what they discover is a mysterious mansion to hide. They must discover what has happened to Bravo Team and what this mysterious mansions plays in part of the wierd occurrences that has happened in Raccoon City. Gameplay - 4.0 It's the same gameplay you know from Resident Evil. You can run or gun your way through zombies. A new added note, crimson head, zombies that aren't decapitated, regenerate into a fast, red, clawing zombie. Graphics - 5.0 Amazing pre-rendered graphics. From lightning to the detailed walls of the mansion. Evil has never looked so good. Sound - 4.5 It's alot better voice over from the original Resident Evil. Sure Barry throws a few corny lines here and there, but they are great and hilarious. Overall - 4.5 This game is must have for new and old Resident Evil fans alike. Evil lurks around the corner in a brand new light.
The remake of Resident Evil is here on the gamecube.

In 1996 Capcom make a game that started all, Resident Evil. 1 year after the releash of the gamecube, capcom make Resident Evil for the gamecube. Resident Evil is a remake of the playstation version with new weapons, places, enimies, and costusmes. The story takes place at a mansion in raccoon forest. You take the role of the same two charactors, Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. Two stars members in ahpla team. The gameplay is great. You'll encounter zombies that mutates if you dont burn them, or blow their heads off. There are places that are never seen before. It might take you 10 hours or less to complete the game. The ending depens on who is alive and who's dead. The graphics in Resident Evil are perfect. Capcom did all of their work of the lighting effects, lighting, shadow, water rending, and textures. Even Capcom do a great job on the sound. Whenever you fire your weapon, get attacked, and enimies get shoted it let out different sound. Resident Evil for the gamecube is scary, bloody, gory, and very violent. This one of the perfect game in the series. Also this must be a buy.

Resident Evil was a explosive game released for the playstation around 1996 that made us scared to open our doors at night. We'll the gamecube remake Resident Evil takes the old formula and enhanaces 2X. With this remake the zombies now have the ability to come back from the dead if not set aflame, and move alot faster. I gave this a a 4.5 out of 5 because even though it is the mother of the series, Resident Evil 4 just dominated it!!

this game (along with the rest of the series) is one very good reson to own a Gamecube. RE1 screams to be owned, from the beutiful/creepy graphics to the addicting, equally creepy gameplay. Sure its hard, but that is no reason not to expieriece it and when it comes down to it, barley anything can beat killing the lights a t 1:00 in the morning and getting the crap scared out of you agin and agin.
