Sleeper hit! Yeah right!

This game sucks. It is a boring and horribly made game. If you meant sleeper hit, meaning it puts me to sleep then youre absolutely right! Its fun for a second. You fly around and blow stuff up. Yeah it gets boring real fast. If they were to make it to where you could drive a tank or a truck in one of the levels then it might make up for it. Whoever made this game and whoever likes it is just simply an idiot!

Kill Switch

*sighs* Where do I begin? Okay, first off, to everyone that saw the adds for this game, I gotta tell you, DO NOT BE SUCKERED INTO BUYING THIS GAME!! $50.00 could be used for so many better things, like pre- ordering GTA: SAN ANDREAS or buying that gerbil you always wanted! Hmm..maybe not. Moving along.. The "mission control" voice actor sounds like one of the programer's dad. His husky, awkward voice follows you the whole way, YIPEE! And don't forget, your technology expert, who's name is something like michelle, really should earn a grammy for her ground breaking preformance. I could hear better voice acting from my 4 year-old sister, sheesh! The levels are small, extremely linear, and quite cheap I must say. You'll find yourself being killed when you could've sworn you were hidden! Also, the is terribly ironic. You're supposed to react quick and without thought, saving your ass by leaping to hide behind a broken pillar or a twisted heap of car metal. But instead, unresponsive controls leave you standing out in the midst of crossfire, being pelted with AK rounds. The music is boring and repetitive, and will have you wanting to grind down you ear drums, or at least turn down the volume. Cinematics are pitiful, consisting of a wide-screen format, your character standing in a new level, and talking. The character's mouths don't even move! Are they thinking in their heads? Must be telepathic!! The missions are extremely repetitive, having you do the same thing ove and over and over to the same terrorists over and over and over. Shoot, roll, crouch, hide, rinse and repeat, etc. Aside from my scathing review, kill switch does have a COUPLE redeeming qualities (though not enough for me to give it above a 2.0). I admit that a few parts were actually entertaining, probably being the first mission. But too many multiple faults bring this waste of a good idea dowwwwn dowwwwn dowwwwn! Pce out, more reviews to come, search for my name!! Hitmandan (a.k.a metro)

Refreshing change of pace

This is a true sleeper hit, as dragonspirit rightly identifyed. I don't usually mention other people in my writing, but I must say he hit the nail on the head. It is simply astonishing that a person would try a game and no doubt rave on and on about it if it was from a giant company like EA, but you get a game with great gameplay and graphics like this from a small company and it gets no advertising and virtually a slap in the face by a well respected magazine. This is Tony Hawk on LSD. The core of this game is essentialy the same as that of THPS. If you like extreme sports games with a mission based center, this is the game. If not, still give it a shot.

Could have done more with the cool idea.

Airblade is unique game that offers a cool concept,however its very dissapointing that the makers of this game couldnt take that concept further,this really could have been an awsome,revalutionary game. Its to bad they settled for a slightly above average game insted of spending more time with it and turning it into something awsome,it carried that potential

the music is good but the game sucks

this game has some neat beats but just neads to be tweaked a little bit and it also has to have more levels its real short and not a good challenge. :{

Better Than Tony Hawk?

Airblade is a very awesome game with cool and unique characters and a fun but simple story line. The game really goes into areas other freestyle skateboarding like games have never even touched. Although the "Airblades" are hover boards they are basically futuristic skateboards. What drew me to the game was the whole hoverboard concept. I mean I've watched Back to the Future 2 tens of times and always awed over how cool those hoverboards were. Even though they don't exist, Airblade gets us much close. It is a blast to grab the vertical and horizontal poles and SWING, SWING, SWING! Unlike other boarding games, Airblade has that feature and a story. Although simplistic, like I said, it is better than no storyline. Is it better than Tony Hawk 3? I think so, I like THPS3, but generally I think Airblade outshines in in many areas. Therefore making it a very awesome game.

Sleeper Hit?!

I read Gamepro's review of this game, and they wouldn't know a sleeper hit if it smacked them in the jimmie with a hoverboard. This game is great. Once you get used to the controls, which takes all of five minutes if your a Tony Hawk fan, the game comes to life with incredible graphics, speed, and fun. Sure the storyline may be a bit lacking, but Tony Hawk doesn't even have one, and it's the mother of all Xtreme Sports games. Consider this game a floating, mission based version of Tony Hawk. Play it, Love it, and tell Gamepro to stop jockin' the corporate propaganda. Seems to me, if a game isn't backed by a big name company, or a big name celebrity, they give little to no respect for it. How's it feel to be a puppet for the "Man" Gamepro?

One of the most Boring games ever

This game looked very good when i first saw it. Nice idea, but output. Had maybe Activision done this and made it like THPS3 more, it would have been way better. I hate the sound in it, it's probably the worst aspect of the whole game. the looks are good, steady frame rate, nice big cities, but it had no life to it. It was just so borng for some reason. the charcaters are about as slow as mollasis going uphill in the great whiter North of Canada in January.
