Great game, and well worth it.

Having played both current next gen versions of THPS3, I can safely say that the GC version holds up nicely to its PS2 cousin. The core game remains unchanged from the PS2 version, from the levels to the sounds to the awesome tricks. Suffice to say, if you've seen it or done it on Sony's black box you will be seeing and doing it here as well. That said, the only real complaint I can level at the game is its controls. That however, is more the fault of the Gamecube controllers design rather then that of the games developers. They worked well with what they had, and managed to make it playable with some practice and a bit of patience. Once you adjust to the Gamecube controller after the relativly short learning curb, this game plays flawlessly. Once you get it down you'll be pulling off high scoring combo's with ease in the well designed and often busy levels. In closing, this game is a wise purchase for GC owning fans of genuinely fun gaming. If you fall into that catagory, you owe it to yourself to pick up this great game. You wont be dissapointed.

Tony Hawk has done it again! This game is awesome! Another great sequeal. The levels, all 14, are gorgeous, fun, and cool. The level missions are just as puzzling as the orginal! Music from alien ant farm, redman and Xzibit just to name a few. I give the graphics 4.5/5, sound 5/5, and control 5/5. This game is worth every penny!
I haven't wrote in a while, so this is good

I have to say that you people that opinionate game systems suck, whether it being a fan boy for Xbox, GameCube, PS2, whatever... you people need to get a real life and stop trying to piss off other people by saying things that you THINK are true, but aren't. I myself bought a GameCube, but I don't go around talking big about it. You fan boys have ruined not only wrestling, but now videogames for people that play them for what they are here for, to be fun. But now for Tony Hawk 3, I think this game rocks and shows that Gamecube can run compitions with PS2. But for those of you that don't like it because it doesn't have internet access, I pity you. Shame shame on people that give bad scores to games because they can't have their little internet play, jeez! why do you people have to sit in front of a tv and play 24/7 against no lifes on the net. I'm sorry to say, I'm not trying to be rude but it had to be said! And also on THPS3.. the music (like the past Hawk games) gets really annoying, I use my metal CDs when playing and turn down the volume on the tv. Graphics:5.0 Sound:4.5 Control:5.0 Fun Factor:4.5
Hmm, what this, oh yeah, another Tony Hawk

The new Tony Hawk game is, well, more of the same. Not that this is a bad thing, but it does get old. Sure the graphics are better, and you have to figure out how to use the GC controller, but after this, it's just the same thing. Of course, there's not much you can do with this series besides improve on the graphics. Oh yeah, this is the first User Review of the New Year! Ha ha, man I'm bored.

This game is great, but it dosent have online gameplay.Otherwise it is a solid skateboarding game.It has great graphics and superb frame rate but I did not like the soundtrack.Other than its minor problems,it is a great game.
Tony Hawk is the ultimate trilogy...

The Tony Hawk name has made it's way through the video game world to do what many games cannot do; make a trilogy. Oooh, wow! you may say, but when you think about it, its a pretty big thing to have three games under your belt, especially in such a short time. The Grand Theft Auto, amazing series, the Turok series is also great, and so are games like Gran Turismo and Phantasy Star also. And all of them have trilogies. However, the Tony Hawk series came to be a trilogy faster than these series. It took GTA the span of the PSX system and a chip out of the life of the PS2 system, same with Gran Turismo. As for Turok, it took the entire life of the N64 to get it a trilogy. Although all these games will most likely have more games under its belt as Phantasy Star already has. Who knows? Maybe 4, 5, 6? Maybe they will live on for as long as video games do, just like games like Mario and Zelda seem to be doing. But why? Why would these games last so long? Because of core gameplay of course, and the Tony Hawk series definately has that.
