MAX PAYNE IS ONE OF THE BEST GAME I HAVE PLAYED ON THE PC AND THE GRAPHICS ARE JUST GREAT AND THE GAMEPLAY IS GOOD . THE GAME GETS YOU IN TO A JOO WOO CAN MOVIE MAN . THE ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS THE GAME WAS SHORT AND THE CONTROLS WERE HARD BUT A GREAT GAME ! 3D REALM S RULES ASS!

While this game isn't the greatest PC game ever made, it's still the most fun (sorry Half-Life). The games controls, sound, graphics, story, and oh yeah, that little thing called "bullet-time" make this game the coolest PC experience out there. Everyone in their right mind has been wondering where a game based on "The Matrix" has been. Well, this game, while it's not "The Matrix", the feel is almost the exact same. You can slow down time in order to dodge bullets, your character is involved in a situation even he can't explain, and the villians are just as cool and criminal as the "Agents." I bought Max Payne on an absolute whim. Whoo-hoooooo, whatta great whim that turned out to be. If you haven't bought this game, then you're either unemployed or just not right in the head.

This game is one opf the most abysmal pieces of crap thats ever been released on a pc. Anybody who said this is better than Half-Life is on some drugs. For one the game took me 16 hours to beat, 2 unless your packin a 1.5 ghz or better processor you better be prepared for slowdown, 3. the graphics suck unless you have hardware acceleration and i have nvidia geforce 4 graphics card and it still looks like crap. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

as soon as u start installing the youll already be pissin ur pants, and just wait till ur in the game. its only fault is its shortness but how good it is makes up 4 that. its 1 of a kind, its even better then counter-strike

I've read a couple of user reviews that said this games graphics were choppy or bad, or that the sound was horrible is stupid... it ain't the game its your computer... if u have a crap computer don't buy this game, but i have a top of the line comp and this game is amazing, run everythin on high detail if u can and u'll see what i mean... and if u said this game sucked and u have a top of the line computer then u are just stupid and don't know how to change the settings... bottom line best game since half-life, with a way better story line

This game is freakin' awesome!The graphics are great,the sound is good(although kinda cheesey) the controls are easy to learn but the only probelm i had with this game was that it was to short.Bullet- time made the game easy,but even though it was short i still played this game numerous times.This game is awesome there is no other word to describe it,the pc version is better than the PS2 and X-box versions so if you have those systems pick up this game but if you have a pc already don't bother getting it for the 2 systems.Rent or Buy?Buy this game,it is truly magnificient.

Max Payne has different appeal, and look then Project: IGI. The two games set a mark together for best PC action games. Though Max Payne is a third person shooter, the controls are pulled off perfectly. Bullet Time is a great thing to have in any game, though I really didn't expect it to be done this great. The awesome storyline puts you through it all, and Payne says some great quotes in the game, funny as well as cold and diabolicle. With the really great orray of weaponry, controls, and most unforgettably the sound.. Max Payne is one of the best of 2001, and though the game goes by rather quickly, all the rest Payne has to offer doesn't make you think of the bad things. I give the Graphics a 5.0, the Sound a 5.0, the Control a 5.0, and the Fun Factor a 4.5

This game has to be one of the best, if not the best created games i have ever played. Max Payne has advanced graphics that makes one feel like he/she is in the game. The great part about the game is that every time you enter the realm of Maxy Payne, the fun never stops when the bullet time is enabled. The bullet time seems to have been incorporated from the movie "The Matrix" which is one of my favorite movies. The only real cons to this game is that the game doesn't really let you decide as much where to go. Everything else about this game is great!! It is a great buy!

WOW! thats all i have to say about this game. I thought this game would be just like all the other framed cop seeking revenge in new york games. I was wrong, its like a comic book. And the gameplay is like the matrix, ad a bid rip off on th last level, walking through the metal detectors and a bunch of guys comin at you, TIME TO GO INTO SLO-MO. A must have!
