Sonic Advance was my first game for the GBA!

Intro Well, I remember when I was in ether in 2nd or 3rd Grade when I got Sonic Advance for my new Game Boy Advance (bought these two games at Circuit City, which is now closed years later...memories). I remember playing this game and I was stuck on a couple of levels but I pulled it off when I defeated Dr. Eggman (or Dr. Ivo Robotnik...such a cool name including the 'Ivo' part). OF course I didn't got all of the emeralds because I sadly lost this game...:'(...that's OK, with a GBA Emulator and a Sonic Advance ROM, I'll be sure to play this game again :)! Gameplay Well the game is like a 16-bit Sonic game but with a more cool/manga like detail to the characters. You can be able to play as 4 characters: Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy. Sonic can run really fast, even faster then a speed of sound. Knuckles can glide across the air until you land on the ground or stop gliding. Miles (AKA Tails) can fly with his two tails for a short time so be careful were you might end up landing if Tails ends up getting tired. Finally Amy Rose, she can't really run fast and she cant spin to go faster. She dose have a big hammer to smash enemies with but that dosn't mean she's worthless. Story Well...it's basicly Dr. Eggman/Robotnick stealing all the emeralds to take over the world; same old, same old and Snoic and friends must defeate the crasy Doctor but the game wasn't made for a story. It was made so you can complet a level as soon as possible. Graphics The Graphics look cool in this game, the sprites and the backgrounds look awsome. That's all. Music/Sound There are some recinizable music from past sonic games and there are new ones that are eather catchey or remind you of eather Summer or Winter. Extras/ETC The Chao Garden is basicly a garden for your Chao. You can feed and take care of your chao and also buy items like a TV, a trumpet (or somthing), and a duck toy (but he wont really swim in the water unless he's good at swiming). In the Chao garden there are two mini games. One is basicly a rock, paper, siccors game and the other is a pic and guess game. Conclusion Well, the game is fun, I loved it when I was a 2nd/3rd grade student, and I may take a look on Sonic Advance 2 and 3.

sonic advance

ok graphics and not very good sound in this game. some challenge but not much. i don't like that there is not password and you can't save the game. it makes it annoying that you have to play through the whole game in one sitting.

Best Gameboy game I've ever played!

The ultimate Gameboy game! It's only problom is with the chaos emeralds. The emerald stages are bad. It very hard to get the emeralds. The controls are great the game doesn't require a light accesserey. None of my other Gameboy games com close to how good this one is!

Sonic advance hmmm... SOUNDS good...

i played this game for the first hour and wow that was neat, but for me, i thought it would be fun all the time, but it got old and it left me with some questions like "how the heck am i suposed to get there?" or "how do i ride the rail with out Sonic?" and "how the h3ll do i rais this chao?", but it is a decent game, exept on mine, i cant get any more rings in my "chao account" from play'n the quests, but thats ok, somebody stole it...

Its a Me Sonic

Sonic has always been seagas most charised mascot in world full of look a like cartoonish ploys out to rank in the cash. But in Sonics latest take his journey through his first gameboy advance title has been less than stellar. The graphics are crisp and sharp and easy to see in a world full of eye straning lighting textures. Difficulty is one of the games downfalls. It proves to be a short trip through a nostslgic title with no diverse settings. You can get through it in a couple of hours with every charecter. It would of been nice if they added more extras and a less confusing "get the rings" system. Its repetitive and boring not to mention rehashed. Sorry but go for the Italian Plumber on this its his home turf he knows what hes doing.

More Memories

What a game. Sonic and his crew of friends are back on a Nintendo system for another round of super-sonic reflexive game play. Great fun.

Worth every penny!

Sonic Advance is a great game. Here are the scores I would give it. Graphics-5.0 Sound-3.5 Controls-4.0 Fun Factor-4.5 It's great to see Sonic back in 2d and with that talk later fight now atiitude. Your job is simple. Stop Dr. Robotnic's evil plan that could destroy the earth. Simple, no? Over it's a great game and deserves to be in any true GBA fan's collection.
