Guybrush Threepwood, the mighty pirate cap....well maybe not.

Guybrush Threepwood is back and in 3d. This time, he's trying to find out who has declared his wife Elaine Marley dead, the mayor of Melee Island...well was mayor. Story - 5.0 Another delightful adventure of Guybrush Threepwood who must solve puzzles like stopping the demolition of his house, recruit a crew to travel the seas once more in search of who is Charles L. Charles who is running for mayor. Also the famous insult armwrestling is back for all those insult fans. Gamplay - 4.0 The button layout take a while to get adjusted to but otherwise it the same ol' look, take, talk, action that you are acustom to from any Monkey Island game. Also some quick wit humor from Lucas Arts and Guybrush Threepwood. Grahpics -4.0 A unique 3d transition from the 2d style from previous Monkey Island games. It works quite well with this game. Although Guybrush does look funny being in 3D. Overall 4.5 - If you like the previous Monkey Island games, this game is a must for you. It's combines all the old styles from previous Monkey Island games into a new adventure with new and more witty lines, and will keep you entertained while you keep digging deeper into the mystery of Charles L. Charles but I think it obvious that you can figure out who is if you know the old Monkey Island games.

Hey its Timmy the monkey

Graphics: 1.0 They suck control 5.0 very similar to the first 3 games. Guybrush walks around collecting things and looking at things and talking to wacked out cracters and all this with such simple controls. Sound 5.0 The sfx and the voice acting is awesome. It makes you feel like your in the game. Fun factor 4.5 This game is really fun and really cool but the graphics are craaaaaappppy. And it seems like this M I is missing something that the first ones had. Check it out though

You owe it to yourself, you brave monkey fans

You can't tear me from this game. It's just too good. If you've played any of the previous games in the series, you know what this game's all about. Just stop reading this review and buy it. If you still need convincing, fine. The puzzles are quite thought out, and they do sorta make sense when you finally click to the game. However, you might want to invest in a strategy guide, but don't depend on it too much, most of the fun of the game is from the satisfaction of figuring out a tough puzzle. The controls take a little getting used to, but that's only with the inventory and interaction with objects. Also, save happy gamers may find themselves in a delema as you're often dead if you miss a essential piece of a puzzle. The sound really makes this come alive, perfectly conveying all the humor, as well as the odd- ball character's emotions. After a while you sort of get attached to Guybrush, silly name and all. Then, of course, there's the graphics. Everything, from the prerendered backgrounds and the wonderful character models are great looking. They all perfectly capture the light-hearted feel of the game. So just buy it. If you'll all excuse me now, I have been challenged to some insult armwrestling.

The funniest game on the PS2 so far.

This game is by far the funniest game to come out on PS2. The storyline was fair, but the overall of Escape from Monkey Island was outstanding. If you are into humor this is a must have.

Don't bother.

I rented this game and it wasn't even good for that. The controls were hell, and the game is pointless without a stradegy guide. It's almost like a bad movie. However, the graphics and music were good. Just stay away...

This game sucks.

This game is so stupid all you do is walk around and talk to people and tell them to do things. Sometimes you pick things up but when you try use them it goes to cut scenes. I wouldn't even tell anyone to rent this game.

I am Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate.

What!? Whaddya mean you've never heard of Mr. Threepwood? He's only the greatest pirate in the world! (so he thinks) Well then, Guybrush Threepwood is the main character in this new installment of the Monkey Island series. There were like four others on the PC. THe graphics, while not award-winning, blend in perfectly with the cartoony fashion of the game. The control is very good and easy to use as soon as you get the hang of them, which doesn't take very long. The sounds are extremely well composed/performed and the character voices are very well done. Might I add, this game is FUNNY! The humor isn't really crude, though at sometimes it is, but it is still understandable to all ages. If there was any flaw to be accounted for, it would have to be the difficulty of the game. You'll probably need to dish out a few extra bucks to get the guide. A very funny and enjoyable game nonetheless.
