I played this on a demo disc. It blows. B-L-O-W-S. Trust me. If you buy this game than you are a bum raping ass monkey. The only reason I gave it a 1.5 instead of a 1.0 is because it amazingly worked extremely well as a giz mop.

Ok at first you play this game and think "Oh Hell this kicks major Ass"! But after a while, the gem collecting and jumping gets boring. The wizard rescue level is ok,but gets boring and their voices are so stupid its like Vikkie wants to marie the wizard!Plus the graphics are bad.Heres the low - down on this game. Control:3.5 Graphics:2.0 Sound:2.5 Fun Factor:2.5 As told by Penciltip.
Oh crap, when will they get this right?

Ugh. When I first saw the screenshots for this game I knew it would suck. Except back about a year ago, it was called Vikki's Adventures. Anyways, 3D0 should team up with some other developers because their cash is goin down the drain. Portal Runner is a lame brained platformer with a stupid story line and evil controls. The horrible story goes like this: Vikki Grimm is a newspaper reporter and girlfriend to war hero Sargeant Hawk. One day, her rival, Bridgette Bleu tricks Vikki and she falls into a time portal. Having defeated Vikki, Bleu now plans to go through time herself and conquer the world. Of course, Vikki must stop her using her bow and arrow(wha...) and her pet lion(what the f...)Leo. Okay, this a stupid. Vikki has a pet lion. IT'S A FRICKING LION!! Anyways, the graphics are actually pretty good. For army men that is. They don't bend the PS2 but their still ok. The music is great with cool beats that links to the current enviroments. Like medivel music plays on the giant chess level or futuristic music plays on the space level. What bogs down the score is Vikki's raspy voice and the pathetic attempts to make lion noises. The biggest flaw is the control. Vikki stumbles like a frantic drunk and she jumps like a moron. Luckily, there is a blessed auto-aim system. Otherwise, aiming in firstperson view is hell. This is just an average platformer. Well, compared to the other Army Men games, it's actually ok. Scratch that. It's average. Plain and simple.
