This is the first game after SOTN to have the Level up feature but goes back to the Whip. Im writing this review after I played all the Gameboy versions so I know its unfair but this version was alot slower than the sequels. Although a good game and a definate buy for all Castlevania fans, just make sure you play it BEFORE the other ones or you might be dissapointed.
Magnificant!Captures the spirit of Castlevania!

This is a magnificant piece of gaming, and personally one of my favorites. Circle of the moon capture the true spirit, the true escence of what we know as castlevania. The graphics are finely detailed, but rather hard to see occasionly, and the sound,is amazing, and undoubtably some of the best ever to grace GBA speakers. The controls are almost flawless to. This is defanatly one of the best games for the GBA. What are you waiting ffor,BUY NOW!
fun, hard, but definitely rewarding

COTM is a good game, i woulda given it a 5.0, but the graphics. Its just too darn dark, every other aspect of the game is very well done

I can sum this game up really quick. Circle of the Moon is like Metroid Fusion, only everything about this game[Graphics, Sound, etc, but not the fun factor!] is just a notch below that of Metroid Fusion. And for the same price, Metroid Fusion is simply a more satisfying game.
it WAS the best gba game, until...

a little game called Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance came along! It's not out here in the states yet, but you should all look forward to it. As for this game, its great! good graphics, great sound, awesome fun factor, and good control too. buy this game if you own a gameboy advance

This game Will start the Gameboy Advence legacy. This game starts it off then after it there still going to be two more Castlevanie games for the sysemt. You should pick the game up. It's about 15 hours of game play and it's also the most own Gameboy game. After this game came out golden sun did so did the two DragonBallZ games. I think nintendo chose a great game to lead the gameboy legacy.
This game sucks, don't embarass the gameboy with this game

You should be able to go to more than one board. The graphics is poor and it has poor gameplay. The people are so amall you can't even see them. I really don't like this game I rented it and i wasted six dollars on this poor title.

I'll have to say that one of the only reasons I've purchased my GBA was for this game. Although the same music repeats in different parts of the castle, it's still an "above level of greatness" GBA game with excellent graphics (I only wish they were brighter). In any event buy this, buy this NOW!
The most compelling reason yet to own a GBA!

This is an awesome game. The plot and gameplay is great. The fighting gets a little repetitive. It plays a lot like Castlevania:Symphony of the Night. This is a must have game.
