To be honest with you, i was a little bit worried about this game! When you get this game home and play it, all of your worries will be gone. I do want to warn you the learning curve will bother you, but once you sucked up a couple (of ghosts) you'll love it. This game has it's downfalls, but so minute that you'll get over them as soon as you find them. This is a solid buy for any Gamecube purchase. I won't say that this game is revolutionary, but it's the first wave of Gamecube games. If this is just a taste of the Gamecube can do...imagine people what Nintendo has in store for us! Game on and always on your Game! :-)
WAY better than it looks.

I'll be honest with you. When I first saw pictures of this game, I wasn't all that crazy. It didn't seem like it was all that great. Well I'll tell you, THE HELL WITH WHAT IT SEEMS LIKE!! God, this game kicks ass. You may not like the idea of catching ghosts with a vaccuum cleaner, but with this game, it fits in perfectly and it's really cool. Not to mention the awesome visuals and sound, this game great control too. It's another must have game for the GCN.
How did some of us play this early read!!!

Like all Reviewers, Gamepro receives games in advance

In response to some comments that claimed Gamepro was just reviewing Japanese titles: Gamepro, like all reviewers, receives titles in advance to their public debuts - so that they may rate/review them. Believe it or not, game companies have final products completed prior to the date they are released in stores. Economics boys and girls, economics.

I went and bought my gamecube today, and along with it I got Luigi's Mansion. It is a great game (so far at least:), the graphics are incredible. The back lighting of his flashlight, the fire, and the dust. How his vacum interacts with everything, its just insane. The sound to is awesome, as he walks along you here footsteps, and he's usualy either humming, or whistling the them song, or else is calling for Mario ('mmmmmaaarrriiooooo....'). The theme song itself is great, ive already caught myself humming along... The control's are a bit annoying at first, but once you get the hang of it, there a sinch, and make perfect sense! As simple as the game play is (find ghost, suck ghost in vacum, try not to get hit), it's a very addicting, and also very fun game. I highly reccommend this to anyone who has, or is going to get a game cube!!
This game is utter crap.

This has got to be the lamest game ever. What was Nintendo thinking when they made this? The graphics for this game resemble the n64 graphics and thats bad. The game is so repetetive and boring. Please do not buy this load of crap.

This game is really good for all gamecube owners. Finally Luigi takes his own turn in a video game.Their isnt as much platforming though but trying to find ghost does get boring plus at first its hard to control but the sound is perfect.Great game.

I love the Nintendo Gamecube! And I love Luigi's Mansion! I treasure the the way you guys beautifully decribed the wonderful action-packed adventure of Luigi. I've never even touched a Gamecube, and I already like it. But I probably will never even touch one in the future. Ican't afford it, or Luigi's Mansion. But that still was a beautiful review. Thumbs Up!I'm giving this a 5 for fun factor! Even though I might never get to experience the fun tour through Luigi's Mansion! Great Review!!
