Luigi may be a chicken, but it's sure fun watching him freak out!

A very entertaining (if somewhat short) game. I loved it when Mario popped out of the Ghost Portrificationizer at the end! Very funny. A must buy for any Nintendo fan. MY ONLY REAL COMPLAINT IS THAT THERE ARE VERY FEW VOICE OVERS. YOU MUST READ NEARLY EVERYTHING EVERYONE SAYS. WHICH IS A SHAME BECAUSE THE FEW VOICE OVER THERE ARE ARE EXTREMELY ENTERTAINING. COME ON NINTENDO THIS AINT THE N64 NO MORE. Graphics- 4.5 Sound- 4.5 Control- 5.0 Fun Factor-4.5 P.S. I'm sick of morons giving games they've never played, "1.0's" just because they came out on a game system they don't own!!

This game is so boring. The graphics are great. The ghosts look real! But the game is just boring. There's no action all-over, like Mario64.
Not a bad game

I played Luigi's Mansion a few days ago at my town's K-Mart, and it turns out Luigi's Mansion is not a bad game. The plot is this, Luigi won a mansion in a contest he never entered and people say the house is haunted, so Mario goes to check it out but never returns. So Luigi goes to find him. The graphics are amazing, esspescilly the look on Luigi's face when he confronts a ghost. The sound is what everyone would expect from a Mario game. Classic and simple. The controls take work to learn but once you get the hang of Luigi's vacume cleaner, its tons of fun. Overall, Luigi's Mansion should be one of the first games you buy for the Gamecube. You just have to be paicent with the controls.

Hopefully this game is showing whats to come on this system. Its not super-hard, but its not super-easy either. The controls are nice once you adjust.
And people wonder why GC is the best selling system on the market!

You blasphemous X-box bastards obviously don't have the will power to overcome MicroSoft's brain washing. Go ahead, play with your ugly black box with a giant glowing green X on it and your clunky peice of crap controllers. At least Nintendo can produce a game system that has style and doesn't force you to take out the 2nd morgage on your house. MS better stick to making computers that play Fight Simulator and not spending $1 billion dollars on making a piece of crap system that has the same power as the GC, or so many sources say. They didn't even release in game polygon count! But good graphics do not a good game make. And MS does NOT make good games. But enough of my ranting about the evil Bill Gates... Luigi's mansion is excellent, overall. Think Ghostbusters with a splash of Code Veronica and a slew of great cinematics that may very well frighten you despite it's cutsy appearance. A curious control setup that is just what you need to bust a cap...well, more like vacuum some ghosts. I seem to like games that have a grade for how rich you are at the end. Goes up right next to Super Smash Bros. Melee in graphics, and in sound. All this goes to prove the superiority of the GC. Damn all you nay-sayers, rot in hell, blah blah blah and all of those condemning words. Long live Japanese based consoles and video games! And Anime! And Free Internet! And, uh... um, so what was I doing? Oh, yeah. GC RULES!

What is not to love about Luigi's Mansion! The sound and graphics are unreal. The story line .......sweeping up the treasure (coins, bills, gems, & gold mice) in a haunted mansion .....is every "kid at hearts" dream come true. This is the coolest game to hit the video gaming industry. Thanks Nintendo!!!
Mario, come out come out wherever you are...

Luigys Mansion is a must have.I didnt have the guts to give it a 5.0 though because its really good but not that good.More different than most Mario games.Luigy wins a mansion in a contest which is haunted.Find Mario and other things and i got to admit the graphics are shocking.

Just fun. The control takes a little time to get used to but once you do the fun will never stop. The rooms are beautifully designed to be used with the vaccum. Don't buy a Gamecube without this game and Star Wars Rouge Leader.
Nice game but lacks depth

Luigi's Mansion is a good game, but it is just too shallow when it comes to the story line, besides it is also short and super-easy. I think that Miyamoto did not put too much effort on the green-guy's first game.
