INSANELY SCARY

this game is great for its uniqueness. The graphics and control and everything are simply ok, but the insanity effects are what makes this a GREAT GAME. This is definitely the scariest game i have ever played. When scary things happen, you cant tell if it's real or just in the character's head. It's a MUST HAVE!!!

One of the best games ever!

I have all the systems, and I'll tell you what, this game is the best game for game cube, just as halo is for xbox, and grand theft auto 3 and grand turismo are for ps2. Buy this game now if you own a gamecube, and if you don't, buy a gamecube, then pick it up, along with rogue leader. :)

a personal favorite from the first words of the game

the best game released sonce resident evil 5 years ago. the camera and the cahracters speech is the best i have ever seen in a game. the combat is so easy to pick up. u can target any area on your enemy when in combat, the only hard thing is switchin enemies after getting locked on one. if you own a gamecube get this game. if you dont own a gamecube buy 1 and pick this game up 2.

ETERNAL DARKNESS:SANITY'S REQUIEM

THIS GAME REALLY ROCKS, ITS REALLY A MASTERPIECE. YOU CAN'T COMPARED THIS GAME TO OTHER GAMES LIKE RESIDENT EVIL, OR SILENT HILL BECAUSE WELL ITS REDEFINED WHAT THE HORROR CATEGORY IS ABOUT. AT FIRST THE GRAPHICS LOOK A LITLE SLOPPY (AFTER ALL IT WAS FIRST DEVELOP FOR THE N64) BUT WHEN THE GAMES REALLY STARTS IT CAN RIVAL THE RESIDENT EVIL (REMAKE) GRAPHICS AND THIS IS A LOT TO SAY. THE GAMEPLAY AND THE STORY ITS OUSTANDING. FIRST OF ALL ITS GIVE YOU A VARIETY OF CHARACTERS AND WEAPONS. FROM ANCIENT WEAPON DIFFERENTS SWORDS, KNIVES AND GUNS. TO A MAGIC SYSTEM THAT REALLY ROCKS. SECOND THERE IS ALMOST NO BACKTRACKING. THIRD THE INSANITY EFFECTS ARE SO INEXPECTED AND VARIES. THE GAMEPLAY ITSELF IS A MIX OF RESIDENT EVIL (SOMBIE KILLING) AND TOMB RAIDER EXPLORATION. THE BOTTOM LINE ITS HEY WHAT ARE YOU WAITING TO BUY THIS GAME OR IF YOU DONT OWN A GAMECUBE TO BUY A GAMECUBE.

Requiem for your sanity,

Eternal Darkness is the story of Astral beings known as Ancients. These Ancients are presumed to be the downfall of humanity. It is up to Alex Rovias to uncover the truth of her grandfathers death and read the pages of the tomb of eternal darkness to uncover the mystery. The story is really deep and inovative. The diolague it upped for a gamer whos looking for an inteligent storyline. E.D is a new inovative genere in wich you fight off evil while keeping your sanity. It plays more like an action/adventure mixed with freaky crap. The graphics are clean and run at a smooth rate. Theres some impresive lighthing textures and really eye pleasing backrounds. The charecter models arent goofy and the lipsync is done fairly well. The models may tend to be a bit blocky though. The Audio level gives you the dolby digital advantage with some prety cool sound effects such as groans, moans, screams, crying, hysteria, blood gushing , ect. Silcon Knights went all out. The gameplay is great. The sanity effects add so much to the game and make it stand out. I wont give anything away but its truly an unforgetable expirence when your charecter has lost his mind. The fighting may seem a bit clunky butt once youve got it mastered its a fun time hacking those monsters limbs off. The magic system is deep and alows alot of exploration, though more spells would of been appreciated. Theres about 12 spells if you dont have the mantorock rune. Speaking of runes ; you can select between three that will affect the chorus of the game.My beef with the game is that it may become a bit repetive and there is no diverse settings( about 4 diffrent historical places with 12 playable charecters). There plenty of weponds and charecters that should provide hours upon hours of entertainment. The puzzles and monsters are fairly easey to execute and terminate. Give it a good 11 hours your first time threw and you go yourself one hell of game.

Man o man what a great game

If you thought Resident Evil was good, then you gotta love this one! Ive been waiting for this game and it is finally here and it rules! I have to say that the story line is the best thing of the game. I aint done with it yet but from what I read it says that at the begining the game makes no point at all until the end and they are right. I love the sound of the game, the screams and yells of people can be heard almost everywhere and you can hear spirts and stuff whispering at you. This game sure as hell gives more excitement and action than Resident Evil. In Resident Evil you are used to 1 or 2 zombies at a time but in ED you have like 7 zombies at you. Now the famous illusion effects, from the little ones I have experienced I have to say they rule and add something new to games. A must buy for the ones that actually can play the game and life to tell about it. THE DARKNESS IS COMING!!!

Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem

Most gamers in today's video game world are looking for an "experience". Something that they can live out through a video game that is quite impossible or a story line that will suck them into another reality. Nintendo's Eternal Darkness fits this bill nicely. It is an experience that gives the long wait for this title forgiveness. The careful work by the developers into presentation and story has brought to life a game that one should not worry about spending cash on. The game is highly entertaining and the story resembles playing Twilight Zone episodes. This game has a major "wierd" factor going for it and many suprises that will the scare you. Walking down a dark hallway and having a torch suddenly "pop" like a real crackling fire was a clever and simple way to make me the player jump. Other creepy and remarkably scare tactics are used but I won't spoil it for you. The graphics are nice too. One of the characters, Alexandra Roivas, reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer for some reason. This is bascially a "solve the puzzle game". You know the routine...locked doors...missing keys...etc. But don't let that turn you off. The puzzles are well done and are actually fun to solve. Other things I really like about this game is the sound effects that really assist into bringing you into the game and it's story. The framerate is smooth and the combat system which allows you to target an enemy and bodyparts is excellent (why didn't Capcom think of that?). Speaking of combat...I really liked the realistic touch of when you are fighting in crowed places and you swing your sword and it hits other objects thus blocking your blow to the enemy. Going crazy is great too. Let your sanity meter get low and your in for a few suprises. The magic system can get a little confusing...but after a while you'll figure it out (why do games try to make using magic so complicated?).
