The 2D side-scrolling fighting game genre returns!

How long did it took for Capcom to make a near perfect arcade port? This game debuted in 1989, and made it to SNES in 1990, with an 1994 SNES update. Now in the year 2000, we have a much modern version of it. Guy, Cody and Haggar return to their city in this two-player beat'em up. There are now 6 stages. The gameplay is simple, punch the bad guys and continue moving. Each baddie you floor down gives you 1 point. You need 2000 points to unlock all secret stuff. The sound is very well done and improved, yet not as good as the SNES versions. The graphics are the same as the SNES, but even more colorful. Other stuff added in was the conversation between your character and the boss. One bad thing about this game is the fact that when you continue, you start the whole stage FROM THE BEGINNING! You only have 4 credits to go around. Still, this is not a bad game, with them many secrets that can be unlocked, it is the definitive Final Fight version worth owning!

You will know frustration upon playing this game.

Final Fight One is a great arcade port. It retains the great graphics and solid control, but the great sound has now been reduced to pitiful 8 bit rubbish. The game is also insanely hard. Now it's a great game and probably worth a buy, but having a bad soundtrack and extremly high difficulty level keeps it in the rent range.

Short, but extremely fun!

FFO may be short and easy, but for the short time you play it's very fun. It's also true to the arcade original, and special cinema scenes are added to spice up the storyline. Buy this game.
