ok, first thing's first.....the people who gave this game a 2 or under apparently dont know a good game if it came and kicked them in the nards. This game is not twisted metal, but its a pretty dam good spinoff of twisted metal! This game has everything you could expect for a game playable by ANYONE. It has cool characters and vehicles...like Burn Cycles, Steamrollers, they're all cool, you even have a Formula1 racer in the mix! Although i will admit that there is no storyline whatsoever. The controls are the main focus of whining for most people... But look at it this way: Imagine you have a chain gun and maxxed out machine guns and you're in a Burn Cycle, you go to whip around and fire em both off...so you whip around and do a barrel roll that leaves you a sitting duck for anyone.....then you get blown up. People.....THIS IS AN ARCADE SYTLE GAME! YOU DONT WANT GRAN TURISMO HANDLING ON AN ARCADE GAME!! Its supposed to be DRIFTMANIA with weapons, SO GET USED TO IT! Speaking of weapons......the weapons in the game include a chain gun, mini nuke, artillery cannon, missle salvo, pulse gun, flak cannon, mines, homing missles, heat seeking missles....and.....uh,.......uh......i think theres more but i forgot......or cant remember......but they're all fun weapons and, yes-- AND, each character has his/her own special combo attacks...but all of them have HOVER MODE.....i dont know the use for this but....oh well... so overall.....i learned that most people dont know good games when they see one, and that MOTOR MAYHEM is a game that never gets old and that i reccomend to buy....but good luck finding it.

while i was at a friend's house, we played PS2. he had quite a few games. in fact, i played spider-man at his house and i bought it later (which i regret). anyways, he had motor mayhem. now at the time, almost a year ago, i didn't have a PS2. so i thought: "hmmm...motor mayhem. what is it? is it like Twisted Metal. let me try." so i did. and i liked it. heck, i even tried to look for it when i bought my PS2. but i couldn't find it. i looked in Gamestop and EB games and even Blockbuster. but it was nowhere to be seen. a few months later, i saw it. but i was so interested in another game (which was Max Payne) that i didn't really think about it. so i bought max payne, and boy, did i love it. i brought more games, and none of them were motor mayhem. than today, i went to Gamepro.com. i was scrolling down PS2 games that i've played so i can review. i saw this game. than a light bulb went on. Motor Mayhem. i remeber this game. so i went to this game and read the reviews. most of them give this a thumbs-down. well, i give it a thumbs- up. this game is futuristic and fun. i like the characters and there weapons. i am still thinking about buying this game. but i do know one thing for sure. this game is not as good as Twisted Metal: BLACK.

This game has a really good storyline but there are so many things wrong with it. For one the handling sucks it's so very hard to control. Also the graphics are what I consider average. One suggestion I can make is make it so you can play during the Duvo War. Also the glitches are things like bad physics and bad character models.

Alright so it's not Twisted Metal, but isn't every Twisted Metal game the same thing as the last one? Alrighty then the graphics are good not great and there are some glitches in the during gameplay. But all in all they're good. The graphics-4.5 Sound, what sound? There are only two songs (one by methods of mayhem) and the rest of them are just cheap beats-2.5 Control, HA! your veichle just flies all over the place, but if use it to your advantage you can actually battle-3.0 Ok bad sound and controls ummm this is easily a fun factor of 4.0

This game sucks. Its like the developers did not take much time at all to complete this game. The graphics lack. .0 for the graphics. The sound lacks even more. 2.5 for the sound. The controls do not at all feel good and are very hard to control and to learn. I found there to be really no fun at all playing this game. So i say if you have not yet pleyed this game yet then do do i say stay away.

I've played some crappy games in my day but this one really takes the cake.Being a fan of car combat games I thought maybe there would be a new one to add to the great list,well I was way off on this one. The vast array of weapons helped the game but the samll arenas and poor control killed it before the game even completed the opening credits.This one couldn't even compare to the Twisted Metal series and that series had its flaws as well. The graphics I felt were the only highlight of the game.The vehicle damage was pretty realistic except when you picked up health your damage was fixed as well. Motor Mayhem isn't even in the same league as the rest of the car combat games.Its my final opinion that this game totally sucks!!

Dab Ekektro was right about giveing this game a bad rateing.Its even worse than Portal Runner!It has horrible graphics plus the gliches mess up your gameplay and its hard to control its like being on a ballon.I hate the steering too.If you press right <-- it goes left --> but sometimes changes and the charecters look stupid.It has anoying sound too the cars are the worst looking.The mutiplayer mode is plain bad.Plus dont waste your time beating it because it has a bad ending.This is the worst game ever.

i think that this is a great game if your into the twisted metal scene. it has good, smooth gameplay, great graphics, and a wide range of weapons. what they could have done better on is more characters, bosses, levels, and multiplayer.
