my game has levels left unfinished by the developer with no textures! multiplayer is bad too because you have to fight over who gets what.

I used to own this game a few years ago. It is a great game. It probably doesnt look as good as it did back then compared to todays games with super HD graphics but back in its day it was a good looking game. It used the snowblind engine, I think thats what it was called? The story in this Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance is great. It has every thing story wise a good RPG should. Its not a very long game but not terribly short either. It will take you a while to hack and slash through its many dungeons and landscapes. It didnt have anything like weapon customization or much character customization. This game has a good variety of enemies, so you wont become board with seeing the same enemies over and over again. The controls are good and simple as well. Baldurs Gate has a top down view so I guess the controls wouldnt be to complex. Its a simple game and easy to get into. Its a simple must have for any fan of western RPGs on the ps2 and this game is one of the few of its genre on the ps2.

LOTS OF FUN - COOL GAME

I must say that I actually had alot of fun playing this game. Yes, I used the cheat code but it still was fun to play and not boring. Story line was pretty good even though graphics could have been better. Basically your slashing your way through hords of enemies in a top D&D type view so if you like doing that you will enjoy this game alot like I did.

Hack'n Slash fun for all

i really liked the game. it was a lot of fun.... until i beat it. there is practically no replay value. Of course, i had so much fun on the first play through that we can overlook that. Good game. just don't expect to play it again and again and again, but i recommend that everyone at least play the game. And just for the record, when the sequel comes out i WILL buy it.

This game deserves a lot of credit.

This game is a great addition to anyone's library. If you can stand countless enemies, this game is an excellent way to eat time up. I have beat the game numerous times. First rent it to see if you like this type of game. The game is on the short side. The game took me 6 hours to beat the game normally. The guantlet mode is an great addition, too. I like the creatures, spells, and character models.

Recommended Similiar titles: Hunter: The Reckoning (Gamecube,XBox), Guantlet: Dark Legacy (Gamecube, XBox, Playstation 2), Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance II (PS 2, XBox), Diablo (Playstation, PC), Diablo II (PC), Hunter: The Reckoning Wayward (Playstation 2), and Dungeons & Dragons Heroes (XBox),

Too short but otherwise great

This is one of the best hack and slashers so far. The ending was really good as well. The game had a great plot and the graphics were superb. Howeer the game can be beat in sbout 6-10 hours and that's what dragged it down. The Extreme mode and trying to get the secret character is cool so the shortness can be forgiven.

Dungeons & Dragons Game

This game is pretty good. Up-close graphics are great when talking to someone (or something). The music really set the tone for battles and just walking out and exploring. Controls were great in the game. Switching weapons is as easy as the touch of a button and firing arrows (as an archer) is easy. The only flaws I can pick out are the battles and firing arrows with anybody else but an archer. Battles get very repititious very quick (look at the final boss). Also, firing arrows without being an archer is a big no-no. No targeting line is provided like with an archer. Overall, I rate this game a 4.5.
