Hilariously funny. Funnily Hilarious.

A great game with a solid story that has plenty of comedic humor. Has great characters, controls, and special suprises and powers. As I said before, Hilariously funny, Funnily Hilarious.

Munch looks just like my grandad... wait a minute...

When Oddworld first hit the shelves all those years ago, one couldnt help but be impressed. In a world where video games were turning 3D, Abe's Oddysee refused to jump on the bandwagon, and yet it was still one of (if not) the most graphically pleasing game of it's time. Why then, should they spoil it by turning 3D? They had found something that works, and although change is always good, as long as it's for the better. However what Oddworld Inhabitants have succeeded in doing here is producing a game with an awkward grip on camera movement, that is, if the camera's moving, you're not; this results in a frustrating effort to line yourself up with jumps or other tasks, such as swimming inbetween 2 mines. *munch munch* Going back to graphics, whatever happened to them anyway? The scenery is so ugly by comparison! Little rock here, a lump of trees there and a randomly placed bush with sky as a background. *munch munch* Rescuing the mudokons was always a favourite aspect of the games, but this time round, they might as well throw them all at you. They're not as well hidden as before and makes it seem more compulsory than a hidden task. *munch munch* So many things from the original 2 games the producers have added, that in all honesty doesn't do anything for the gaming experience. They've taken away too much of what made the games special! Although the game is enjoyable to a certain degree, newcomers to Oddworld won't find this game much fun for long, doing the same repetitive tasks over and over, and old fans will be disappointed. *munch munch* Scrab cakes anyone?

Oddworld 3D

It's good to see this series back even if its not on PS2. Abe is back with his friends and looking better than ever. One of my complaints has always been cumbersome controls and thankfully they've been simplified. Wonderful graphics as always and great humor. The transition to 3D workes better than I expected. Everyone should own a copy of this Xbox classic.

It was good... at first

I loved how the game started... with great cg cut scenes... interesting story and funny little characters... i really actually felt sorry for munch.... until i got to play as him... during the swimming level where i had to get the ball things.... i lost all incentive to play. but at first it was really great and awesome graphics and sound but its hard to play through the whole thing without losing interest

I remeber the good old days...

I remeber games like mario 3, sonic 1, and FFVII... Games that you could play for hours and hours on end... I find that games like these are few and far between nowadays. Sure, your GTA's and your Halo's are great, but I just don't feel compelled to play and beat them. Oddworld is the first next-gen game that held my attention and kept me wanting to play until I beat it. Any game that can do that deserves a 5.0.

Welcome to the Odd

The 3rd (of supposedly 5) game in the Oddworld series. Munch's Oddysee does a good job of keeping you interested, but is it as good as it could be? OMO (lol) starts like all the other Oddworlds: with a training level. Unlike the "free- chant" in the previous two editions, in OMO, you actually need to earn the right to chant, by using spruce like energy. Also, aside from Abe, there's your new little buddy named Munch, who's a Gabbit, a purple one, with one leg. Hmm. It's an Oddworld Afterall... The graphics in Oddworld are in fact, odd. You have the sligs, now in 3D "Odd- Vision" with some new big brothers and beautiful landscapes with textures and nice looking water. The sound? Why even start! Oddworld's rich in hilarious sounds and phrases with some funny SFX too. Control could be better, but it could be worse. If you're a huge Oddworld fan, get this, if you're not, then you know what not to do. G R A P H I C S - 5.0 The worlds are vivid and deep with that authentic Odd feeling. S O U N D - 5.0 The sounds of this Oddworld are hilarious at worst! Every Mudokon has their own sound and own personality. C O N T R O L - 4.0 Easy to use and fun to learn, but the camera is fussy much too frequently. F U N F A C T O R - 4.0 Oddworld strays far from the original idea of being able to trick sligs and Mudokons into traps, for you are more limited now more than ever. Don't expect to have too much fun if you like to "accidentally" kill Mudokons.

Its an Oddworld after all.

The Graphics look simply amazing and detailed(5.0).The Boing noises are great,But the voices are great, the strongest point in the game (5.0) the controls feel a bit weird at first, but you'll grow into them(4.0). This is one of the reasons to own an XBox and should give you something to play once you finish Halo.Overall: 5.0

ehhh... It's okay

This is an ok game. The graphics are good. The sound is good. The controls are wierd. You have to work at them. It's worth maybe one rental. But do that before buying.
