When it comes to intense in your face run and gun action. Halo fits in well. Graphics: 5.0: Graphics for its time was nothing short of spectular and ground-breaking. Sound: 4.5: Even the music fits the pace of the game, it rides along with the gameplay very smoothly. Control: 5.0 what can I say..... Halo set the bar for FPS control scheme on the xbox. Fun factor: 4.75 Even to this day this game is dangerously addictive, even if it doesn't include multiplayer the single campaign is still a blast!!!!!

This game is fun, yes. It has very nice levels, along with cool weapons. The controls are simple, but great. The multiplayer is grand fun with very awesome levels. And the graphics are very nice for the time they were in. But the campaign is too slow. There isn't enough constant battles, vs an occasional weak group of enemies. Also, the good parts go by very slowly. I say, more focus on single areas and not a big, long, weak, spread out level. But the co-op can make up for that slowness. It's always more fun to battle on the team with a buddy. It also makes it less impossible to do harder levels which give a more war-like sense. But it's hard to these alone, for one elite is a lot stronger than one chief. I'm not complaining on how hard the game is, it's just it's too much power to not enough people. So, everything about this game is awesome, except that. But it really brings it down in my opinion.

Whoever thought to make a game like this is a genius. They started a revolution in first-person shooters. With this amazing game they spun off the biggest first-person shooter series ever. This is a must-play game for anyone with a xbox or xbox 360. Get it it's the best.

Unlike so many other different game systems, Microsoft, you started off well. As being one of the best first-person shooters to ever hit a system, this game definitley made its mark. Due to the eagerness to let loose and really show the world what they got with new graphics and realistic situations, Microsoft lost grip of the many balances that were sewed into Halo. Many loved the long-range capability of the shotgun as well as the ability to launch a frag, or a plasma for that matter, as far as the eye could see, but they were lost in the want for more limits. Of course this was only so that other features of the game could be modified as well. Don't get wrong, I love Halo 2, But they probably should've left some key features that were the soul of Halo:Combat Evolved. All differences aside, I would recommend this game to anyone above the age 13 or 14 only because of the slight violence. Good Job Bungie, and congratulations Jason Jones.

This game deserves the perfect score i've given it. This game launched with the xbox and instantly became Microsofts flag-ship title. A game that follows the path of realism religion as AVP has (All have three races)(Examples: AVP: Alien,Predator,Human)(Real Life Religion: Angels,Demons,Humans)(Starcraft: Zerg,Protoss,Terran) I discovered the game while visiting my Step-Father out of state and seen a boy there playing a "xbox" I had no idea what a "xbox" was but I sat and quickly became amazed by the boy playing Halo: Combat Evolved. He asked me if I wanted to play and we played Slayer on blood gulch and ever since then. Im hooked.

i love halo i play it all the time with my friends. it is realy a cool game. i am pretty good at it i just need to practice some more. i am good though. you should buy this game if you alredy dont have it.

this is the best halo game ever made until halo3 comes out. i play this game all the time cause it is my favorite shooter game that i have. i always win against my friends cause they stink at it. i mean they really stink they stink so bad that i win 25 to 0 or 2. this is the best game.
