Incredible game. Visually stunning, the default "trails" option gives you a more gritty, big-city experience. The graphics are incredible and a vast upgrade over GTA2, as you now operate in full 3d interactive environments. This is definitely not a kid's game, with several adult themes and extreme violence. Non-Linear gameplay is great to go along with the huge game landscape that takes hours upon days to fully explore. However, the gunplay could have used better control and the camera doesn't always cooperate. That's all that's at fault with this game. Definitely a must play for older gamers, but keep the kids far away from this.

OK, I'm gonna start by saying that I have never liked a GTA game in my life. I thought they were boring and the graphics were horrible. WIth that note I go on to GTA 3, honestly is this the same series. I first seen the game in my ROTC room after school one day, me being the CO I got the first game. I was blown away by the graphics, the car detail were amazing. My guy though was a little chubby in my eyes but hey its nothing a few hours on the starimaster couldn't cure. The game to me is a way to get all the feeling that you have when your walking on the street off your chest. You can't tell me that when you were walking down the street you didn't just want to deck that business guy, and if you say you've never had that feeling your probably a business guy. How about cruising down the road and you see a phat hummer. You can't just get out your car and go steal it can you, well on this game you can. I loved the gameplay, the graphics even the story was great. I really loved how after you flip your car onto the roof you have to crawl out of it and get away before it blows. The sound on it was great engines sounded pretty good, even the occasional scream of someone was good. Over all this has to be the greatest game of all time. Grand Theft Auto was so great the first few days I played, but the fun seemed to die down in about a week. I believe I have gotten all of the weapons even the tank,all the police stars, and completed "most" of the missions. There's still a lot to be done, but I don't have the urge to play. Oh well, there's still Meteal Gear Solid 2 to look forward to.

A great game by all means but who can compete during the year of Metal Gear Solid 2. If someone was able to buy only one game this season, this wouldn't be it. Very fun and raunchy but it is not worth the hype. Also, don't play it around your parents or kids.

YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING FROM BONING A PROSTITUTE IN YOUR CAR TO SNIPING COPS. ANYTHING YOU COULD THINK OF YOU CAN DO. NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS GAME. THIS IS A GAME FOR THE TRUE GANGSTA, THUG, OR WANNABE CRIMINAL. DEVIL MAY CRY DOES NOT COMPARE, NOTHING DOES.

THis game is SOO fucing sweet. I plant a bomb in a car, park it exactly where it was at and then kaboom, no more friend. PUll over honk your horn, the hooker jumps in, you turned into master pimp. Stop the car and what do you see, it's bumping up and down. I love this game. It's sweet. NOthing else.

Man this is one sick puppy here...kids stay away! Probably one of the most mature and nasty games out on the market yet....beating up or killing everyone in your path is always a delight...as is this game try it yourself!

you will never see this game on any other home console. PS2 fans now are receiving the high quality truly mature games they have been begging for. you almost feel guilty for doing the things you are able to do, ALMOST!!! top-notch graphics, on-the-mark controls, and a deep and twisting story. it's almost a living thing. the computer AI is diverse and reactive, the difficulty is challenging, yet not frustrating. PLAY THIS GAME!!! the missions are fun and move the story along at a good pace, but just hanging out and raising chaos is a blast. i've spent hours just riding and walking around exploring. Rockstar has a winner. I can't wait for State of Emergency!!!

This game is unbeleivable, it's like living out all of your boyhood fantasies to steal cars and run down anyone who gets in your way. You can beat down anything that moves with bats, fists of the 9mm. Oh and by the way their are countless missions ranging from trailing a snitch to taking the Don's daughter for a night on the town. And if you get bored with that steal a cab and make money Crazy Taxi style. This game offers so much that it is impossible to get bored with it. A must own!!!

If you are a big f**king female sex organ then don't buy this game. If you like to blow s**t up and kill mass amounts of people while speeding down realistic city streets than buy it now. That is if you have the balls tough guy.
