For a few reasons in that article: 1. The game is survival horor - That is why the game's AI isn't the best. When is the last time you have seen zombies in resident evil huddle up and make tactics. The AI would take away from the overall scare factor anyway - it would make it semm like you are fighting humans. 2. The game is supposed to be an embodiement of oldschool into a kickass engine anyway. I among others prefer the oldschool anyway. It is 10 times funner. These are first person shooters anyway. I thnk, in accordance with Gamepro, that First Person Shooters are evolving... Not into any FPS however but into tactical or puzzle based shooters. I think these suck, and I respect ID for actually making a good FPS. Half Life 2? Bah, I dont want to have to make the great pyramids of Giza with a bunch of ruined buildings to kill the last guy, i'd rather play Tetris... I rather have GENUINE fun, something Gamepro should recognize as being wanted by many others among myself.

this game will blow your mind away, it is the best first person shooter today, it is survival horror at it's best. and i'm not even at the end yet can't wait to get back to it! this game is a must have, i could'nt wait for it to come out on xbox, and i'm glad i got it! get yours ! i would'n t tell you nothin wrong. money well spent!

From experience, DOOM3 has greatly enhanced from the previous versions.(1-2/95)The monsters you encouterd back in the 90's have turned from halloween costumes to hell itself.I had to change my boxers a couple of times from the horrific monster to the gripping music.All I have to say is when you have a chance to buy this game, do so.It's been long enough since the last good horror game came out.I hope you enjoyed the game like i did.

even on a system like mine, the graphics were outstanding. This game is not for everyone, though. the weak, or faint of heart need not apply, it even says so on the jewel case booklet. Buy Immediately, you dont need to wait till you upgrade, you can always do that later, dont deprive yourself of a groundbreaking experience.
