This is definitely my favorite game of this generation. It has great combos and a great story, and is just plain bad-ass. The new producers of the series tried to reinvent it with the 2nd and 3rd games, but it just doesn't cut it (though the 3rd came pretty close). This game is for all people who just want to have a good time and a great gaming experiance.

it has its own lil kool style that gamers like and awesome gameplay and storyline stoogie outside taking a wiss

this game is by far the greatest ps2 game i ve ever played. only thing i didnt like it was to short and the story was just ok, but who cares the gameplay is the great ever. the guns and a sword. vampire d meets resident evil. that the reason i fell for this game when it first came out.

This game is so cool,that I had to buy Two copys of the game. One for play,and the other for collection value. This is one of the games you Have to get !!

ehh Devil may crys game plot action and graphics but its real-ness and length its was too short And the infinite ammo thing was kinda lame but still a good game

It's one of my favorites PS2 games. It's playability is fantastic, the best I've ever seen!!! And Dante is great - half man-half demon - very cool!!!

This game is definently very cool. The controls in the game make it very easy to fight off your enemies. You can slash your enemies with your sword and then vault back and fire you two awesome handguns at them. The game is also good in that you don't run out of ammunition. This makes it a lot more fun because you don't have to worry about saving you guns to fight of "bigger" enemies. One complaint I do have is the camera angles on this game are difficult to get used to. You can't even move the angel of the camera around to catch any orbs that might be hiding in the corners. But overall this game rocks. If I could change one thing about it it would be to be able to move the camera angle. Other than that this game is truly perfect! Who can argue?

This game rocks. I'm dead serious. Your main character is a badass with an attitude and the action is awesome. I love how you get infinite ammo since it really fastens the pace in this game. The graphics are amazing, especially for 2001 graphics. The game is also hard and I love challenging games. You can tell I love this game since I made a username dedicated to the series. Damn Capcom for messing up the sequel.

For all the people who didnt like this game i bet there are two reasons...you either sucked really bad at it or you wouldnt know a good game if it hit you in the head. The graphics are great and the combat is awesome. I'll admit at some points it does get redundant and sometimes the camera isnt at its best. And for all you people who said it was easy why dont you turn it off of easy-automatic and play it on Dante Must Die then we'll see how easy you think it is...
