this games is the best i beat it in 7 hrs and im playing again and again this game is way better the RE.... way more better dante is a hottie lol.. for a guy in a game, next runner is Squal bit Dante is cute lol..... I think the game was much better than i thought it was going to be... the originality with the guns and the jumping really makes the games replay value unbeatable ... i thought it was a little too short but was well done... i was very happy and impressed with the game .... better than onimusha warlords by far

Devil May Cry is the best game out so far, period! When you mix guns, swords, giant bosses, hot music and eye candy graphics you get something that will be around for a very long time. DMC is a instant classic which every PS2 owner should have!

I bought DMC 2 days ago. I'm only on the tird mission, and i can't get past the huge spider. Anyway it's great, if you like crap like this then go get it. Some of the camera angles are more challenging than the game sometimes, but overall it all-good. Peace out from me, go buy my CD called Low Riders: from the bad boy fam. holla.

I have rented almost every game out for the PS2 I can get, and own more than my share. Without question Devil May Cry is one of the best I have seen for 2001. It is a fairly easy game with puzzles, but to earn the 'S' rating is where it gets difficult. The graphics were great, with several effects I absolutely loved. It was easy to control Dante's moves and awesome to watch him blast away at demons in the air before they even land. After obtaining some of the other weaponary available later on it gets fast and furious knocking down evrything within reach. I recommend this game VERY highly. In my opinion, it will be ranking with Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Onimusha as the must haves!! I can't wait to see 2002 with what I've seen so far.

Hey I tryed the game cause i am inta fantasy/RPG types of games.(and it was a gift) So I got to playing it and even though the puzzels arn't that complicated u have to do a bunch of stuff to obtain a cetain item. The graphics were cool and all and i like the Sorpion monster tha most. (i'll just say that he died a terriable death! that spikey sword musta hurt!) But the best part is when you beat it you can keep all the weapons that you got and start from the beggining and get secret stages.

When that Japanese guy whose name is really hard to pronounce made this a new franchise as opposed to a new Resident Evil ga, it was the best thing he ever did. RE characters are whimpy,whiney, lil chickens scared of a dumb old zombie. Dante takes on monsters 3 billion time tougher that that and not afraid plus he the coolest video game characte ever even cooler than (i neverthought i say this but..) Luigi. DMC has awsome controls, graphics, sound and whatever else you can think of. Also its challenging. Ths is the best game EVER!!! Forget Mar-Kate andAshley go buy this NOWWW!!! Buy the way this game actually deserves a score of 9,812,364,582 !!! Thank you and have a nice day.

Anyone who owns a PS2 has to get this game. This game is now my favorite game, i have beaten it on normal and am now woring on hard. Not only is this game fun but it is also challenging, and it has a great story line that makes you feel like a major bad ass the entire way through. I swear if you have a PS2 and you don't get this game you are missing out on what the PS2 was made for.

And here I thought that Capcom had forgotten how to be innovative and inspiring. How they went from the repetitve Street Fighter and Resident Evil games to this Beautiful game is amazing. I had given up hope on Capcom creating another game that would make me anxious to get asap like i did when the original Street Fighter came out for Super NES. The Level design, action pace, and sheer beauty of Devil May Cry is awesome. The enemies are downright Vicious and sneaky. You really get the impression that when a pack of Blades are circling you, that they really are thinking in that "Pack" mentality. I used to tire and grow immensely annoyed with Capcom's use of the Camera angles in the Resident Evil titles, but in Devil May Cry, the camera angles enhance the experience immmensely. There were only a few minor pains with the camera that i had, but they were easily overcome with effort. I certainly love how smooth the Gameplay is in DMC. You can have a horde of Marionettes creeping on you and the game doesn't slowdown, nor do you lose sight of where you are when a gang of enemies pounces on you. I certainly applaud the new wave of games that developers are coming out with now. From EA's revamp of the NBA Jam series into NBA Street, to Eidos' Red Faction, to this masterpiece Devil May Cry. Perhaps Game developers are finally finding that creative niche they possess and are putting it to damn good use. Keep up the awesome work Capcom.
