I loved this game. I loved how the game feels epic and to my suprise it tells a good story. This game is fun b/c you get you get be a fighter pilot and blow enemies out of the sky. The game is acctully pretty long and does an amazing job at telling a story through the cutscene and loading period. Everthing about this game is good the only kind of bad thing is the ground looks bland but other than that everthing else is fine.

This game is pretty good once you get good at it. Most of it is just staying in the air and not getting killed, and not running out of missiles. Missiles are pretty much the primary thing you want to use in this game. It is the most effective on ground things and it has a homing device so it will follow the target. My favorite plane is the stealth plane its pretty awesome and quick. But of course the last plane that you can get is the best. This game is pretty good on the graphics, it just can get a little wild on the game playing and hard to control sometimes. Otherwise this gam eis good. Make sure you spend your money wisely.

AC4 has always been one of my favorite PS2 games. It may be the best-looking PS2 game ever, it doesn't try too hard to be an exact simulation, and it's a very long game - you won't finish it quickly.

I have only two reasons why I didn't give this game a higher ranking. First, there weren't many extras beyond the extra paint jobs for the jets. Lastly, the multiplayer could have been developed a bit further; make it a pleasurable experience with something like a co-op or just revamping the vs. mode. Overall great game, though.

I dont know about the rest of you but it seemed like I was going in slow motion and the actual missions were kinda repeated over and over. The time limit sucked too... no free reign of the skies. I hope they imporve this game with the sequels cause this one turned me off to flight games.

Yeah this is a good game except for the time limit. You can only fly around for so long. You could say that im just telling it like it is. Everyone of you who said this was a good game are probably the same people who said Halo and Halo 2 sucked! You have the worst taste in games. I think this is a good game. NOT!! Its people like you who keep games like this going. And its people like you who try and stop Halo and Halo 2 from ever happening or you try and stop Grand Theft Auto. Your a disgrace!

sweetgame, u got to get it men, ur missing out.this one time i was playing it ,i was stoned, it just made the game even better.i fall off my seat playing it when i was high later

This game is great! at first it was hard for me to get into it mostly becase it takes a little time to get use to the control but once you got it down your totaly wrapped up in it. You play until you got all the awsome jets and all of there different paint jobs. The graphics are great only get a little bad when you get to close to the ground but usally when you do your dead any way (unless your an Ace like myself). The Sound is spot on, I love the sound of exploding yellow squad Aces. The one problem I have with this game is I haven't found a good joystick for this game. If you don't have it get it it's on the PS2's greatest hits now (only $20)!!

Gameplay: The meat of the game is how it flies. It flies well! Combined with the nice graphics, sounds and rumble effects, the feel is very cool. Of course, fuel is unlimited and the physics are a bit forgiving, but it's a fun, semi-realistic fighter sim that will please any military aviation minded gamer out there. There are twenty-some missions, 5 or 6 multiplayer modes, aircraft and weaponry to purchase. All in all a nice package, especially at $20. Graphics: Excellent, all around. I've read some gripe below about ground textures up close. It didn't bother me at all, and I thought some of the mountain textures looked very nice even up close. The planes look great. The only thing I'd complain about is the relaitively weak explosion effects. it could be nice to see more realistic physics with planes breaking up and such. But all around, a very pretty game to look at. Sound: Radio chatter and music add to the excitement. a well rounded presentation all over, including the menus. Very stylish. --- AC04 may have been a game that didn't warrant a $50 purchase. It's not an open-ended GTA3-style game that you can play forever. It's an arcade style flight sim shooter with a set number of missions and a limited lifespan. It's pretty as heck, fun to play, and at $20, pretty hard not to like. I'm glad I bought it, but I'm glad I waited, too. Viva Greatest Hits!
