Turn off all your lights. Make sure you have a stereo hooked up to your ps2, and turn the volume up loud. Be ready to be completely scared and on the edge of your seat for this game. The graphics and sound effects remind me of being in the middle of "The Shining" meets "Night of the Living Dead". The realistic blood and gore will give you chills. The sounds of footsteps and monsters whispering behind you will make you so nervous. This is not a game. It is a psyhological experience. It combines killing, stealth, exploring, puzzle solving and the reflex to run away from the most fuc**ed up creatures you've ever seen. I've been a gamer for about 10 years. This is the best game I have ever played. No question. If you have a ps2, buy this game or you will never know the true capabilities of your system. I love this game.

Silent hill 2 takes place back in Silent Hill,where the main chacter is looking for his dead,since his dead wife sent him a letter,(he thought he would chech it out)a letter that brought him back to this dreaded place.In the story you will meet some intresting characters,and some scary foes. This game had matible ending(just the first one),and had a high replay value. Let me tell you,i beat the game with my bro,and it kept us up that night.It is more graphic and gory then resident evil so watch out.all and all this is a game to own in your playstaion 2 collection.

This game defines horror completely. You have the crap scared out of you by the sound of static. The graphics are amazing. It looks as though you are controlling a real movie. Also, what's more, is there is bad language, guns, and, best of all, buckets of blood! What more could you want?

I rented this game(luckily I found out I'm getting it for christmas) When I did I couldn't put the controller down. I don't even know why I'm not playing it right now. The graphics are a definite 5.0. The Sound is a 4.0 because every once in awhile James's voice is just plain stupid but the music and monster effects a well fit in. The control is a 4.5. It's much better then the original. Fun Factor is 5.0. I am having loads of fun with this game and I suggest if you have a PS2 to definitely get this game. I played it and now my eyes are bloodshot from playing it all night.

silent hill 2 is no difference than a rated R flick, so kiddies shouldn't even think about putting their little paws on this monster. Trust me, this game will scare even the bravest soul on the face of this earth. playing silent hill 2 makes you feel like your controling the fate of a character in a horror movie, its just that realistic!!! PLEASE PLAY THIS GAME AND GET THE SH*T SCARED OUT OF YOU BECAUSE ITS FUN, IN A SCARY WAY. Silent Hill 2 what is their to say about SH2 alot! first of all the game has way betta graphics than ive ever seen without the scratchy filter the game is so smooth. The game is way better than RE series so that guy that said that this game sucks doesnt know how to rate a game but this game is challenging and scary i got the secret ending so have fun playing SH2

This is the best game ever it has intese graphics and an mature rating for mature gamers.It also has very good sound and it scared me plus the levels are crepy opps i almost put crappy but this game is tooo sweet the monsters are funny too.

I've played this game before, but it was called Resident Evil (1,2,3,Veronica) But none, not one of them gave me the creeps like Silent Hill 2 does. Sure, Res. Evil scared me sometimes, but only cus a dog would jump out at me with a load crash of some sort. Silent Hill has me jumping at every shadow, evrey wind blown chime outside the house, and every head light that drives by. When nothing at all is happening in the game, it still is freaky cuz of the background music/noises around you. This is a great game, but it does have 2 flaws. The camera, it floats way too much:and the "dead give away, there is a monster coming up, music that pipes up when ya get close to a Baddy. Plus there is a pocket radio that creates static when you are getting close to a bad guy/thing. Spoiling the surprise factor. But you cam turn the radio off-which I recomend. The graffics are graffic and stunning with character's mouths actually matching the words that they say. After playing this game, I have pretty much givin up on the Res. Evil series. It's just the same game over and over. But Silent Hill is the new Screamer on the block, and much welcomed.
