ive never played a game so intense like "Metal Gear solid: sons of liberty" new moves , better control etc. its was worth waiting for this game . I wish konami would come up with another sequal to MGS . The game is kinda confusing but if your a real fan and a veteran from the first MGS than you would know to pay attention to all the movies. all i have to say is that the game is awesome , no other game is better than Metal gear solid: sons of liberty . if you don't own it BUY IT ASAP P.S KONAMI we want another sequal to Metal gear solid sons of liberty ASAP !

To say this game "meets the hype" would easily be an understatement. It shocks its players with beautiful grapics, brilliant AI, and some of the best damn voice overs and sound effects seen in a game (or movie) ever. It would be wrong to say it is without minor flaws. For example, a great portion of the game, is spent running from point A to point B then to point D. This is however outweighed by the games brilliant upper points. To put it simply, this game was meant for everyone wanting to play a secret agent, it also will make any anime fan happy to play (even though its not an anime, it features some plot elements you might expect from an one, much like its ps1 predicessor). I encourage everyone who has ever played a video game, and even those few of you who havent, to go out and give MGS2 a shot. Believe me, you WONT be dissapointed!

This is the best game made. Just wish that they would have made solid snake more playable through out the game.

lets talk about the "plus's" of buying metal gear solid 2: great game, great challenge, great graphics, great every thing....but, there is one thing i did not care for in the game. Solid Snake is my favorite video game character out there, and the fact that YOU ARE NOT SNAKE FOR THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE GAME HAS ANGERED ME AND IM SURE ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE TOO. I love the game and all, but i bought the game hoping to play as snake, not some dorky guy.

I HAD a pre-ordered X-Box. I decided to cancel my pre-order and buy a PS2 instead. The reason? Metal Gear Solid 2. This is, the best gaming decision I have made in a loooong time. MGS2, is a good enough reason to own a Playstation 2. I only spent about 3 hours with the game thus far, but I cannot get this game out of my head. Even while working my 9-5 today, I have persistent thoughts about MGS2. This is, one of the best games I have ever played. Everything from the graphics, to the sound, is top notch! This game is a good reason to own a Playstation 2!

God, this is the coolest game ever!! It lived up to all of its hype! If you own a PS2, and you don't own this game, then your whole collection of PS2 games is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!! The only game that even comes close is Devil May Cry, but if you don't buy this game, then you'll be sittin on your ass cryin'!

First of all, Jade should be shot. Metal Gear should be only for PS2 and Jade comes and says its great on PS2 you could only imagine what its going to be like on XBOX. hey dik, PS2 is the system of the future not that crappy little XBOX. Microsoft are idiots and sony rules. Nonetheless, Metal Gear Solid 2 is the best game ever made. story and everything. but where's my Mei Ling. Metal Gear 2(the PS2 version of course) is the greatest game this world will ever come to know!!!

This is an incredible game. One of the best ever created. When all is said and done this will be my all-time favorite video game (atleast until Metal Gear Solid 3 comes out). I find myself even thinking about this game while I'm taking exams in college. Solid Snake looks cooler than ever. The graphics are the best. The music is incredible setting the mood for the game. I watched in awe at the opening sequence and the music put it over the top. Hideo Kojima is the best at what he does, making incredible video games. He is definitely a video game god! I will spend hours playing this game and when I beat it I will attempt to beat it again and again and again. This deserves Best Video Game award for 2002 in Gamepro. Two words to sum this all up: Simply Solid!

This game was worth the three year wait. It allowed the PS2 to give the XBox the finger on its birthday!

By no means necessary am i saying that MGS2 is not a good game. Most definately it is. However, it lacks many things i suspected. Firstly, i was under the impression that MGS2 would revolutionize how games looked for the ps2. I was wrong. The graphics are good. The players look like they are Resident Evil:Code V clones. The Enviroments look nice but lack a lot of detail. The graphics didnt really impress me, but they didnt disappoint me either. That is okay, though, mgs didnt thrive on its graphics but on its stellar gameplay. All the elements are there, cameras, soldiers, the whole bid....that is, except for being able to "snap" your enemy's neck ( ive heard that this was taken out in respect to the events of September 11th. this is very kind, but i dont remember anyone getting their necks broken. Nor do i believe that this would comfort anyone of that nature since you still can shoot someone in the head.). Add this to the fact that half the game annoys you with excessive video clips, and youre not quite sure if this game lives up to the hype. Once again, i recommend you grab this game as soon as possible. Just don't throw out your original Metal Gear Solid just yet. You may find yourself replaying it sooner than you think.
