BSG gives this tittle an 8.7 This game was fun to play.In this game Russia has invaded the U.S. and you go to major cities and secure them by building a base training people build tanks ans in one level in Hawaii you need a strong navy.So this game gives you a solid view of being a commander.Graphics suck!We know what you are thinking"An RTS always has bad graphics!"No no no!In fact Army Men RTS has good graphics for an RTS.But if you look at the Pentagon and put a GI next to it, you will find out the your guys are huge or buildings are small. This game's gameplay was O.K.Sound is good but nothing you haven't seen before. This game is good if you are into Army RTS games. Also you need to be careful.Brandon hasn't beaten it yet because when he gets far and tries to load it says that there is an error and it needs to abort and it does that every time you load.Yuri's Revenge is the same thing except you face a bunch of mind control people.
This Is Game Is Quite Fun

THis game was quite nice to play back in the day, especially when I found out how to change the way the game played with the .rules document.
The interface is very intuitive and the single player and storyline is very interesting, so much that it is more fun at times to play through the storyline than to play the multiplayer, which is also quite fun. It is easy to spend hours on this game and then spend many more hours the next week even years later.
I would not recommend going out and getting this game, but I would recommend getting the Command and Conquer: The First Decade because it includes other great games from the Command and Conquer series...this game should be the top of your list for reasons to get tha compilation.
Still the best one!

Now that I have seen C&C Generals and also played Renegade and The Emperor: Battle for Dune, no doubt these are good RTS games. But none of them can beat Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. Still these are on No.1 position. Though the graphics are not comparative to the new ones, because it was released 3 years ago, but good enogh to make you addictive. But graphics are secondary things, the main thing is game play and that is still best of all. This is the most addictiive game ever made. If you have played it, you know this, but if you haven't played, then really you have not played the BEST war game ever made. Go and buy it today. The price is very low, both Red Alert 2 and its expansion pack Yuri's Revenge comes in one pack, "Red Strike", for just $19.99. This game Rocks!!! ...... PERFECT!
The best RTS just got better

Ok, so you've blasted the Noddies, Burned the GDIes, nuked the Allies, and busted up the soviets, well well well, its that time again C and C strikes again! Red Alert 2 takes us back to the oldschool, pre-Nod psychos trying to turn everyone into tiberium thingies. And here we go, the nuclear powers fighting tooth and nail, Americas (WOO!) vs the Soviets (BOO YOU SUCK!). So anyway, new units, and some classic characters that will never be forgotten, and hell, the chick who plays Tanya is so fine. Anyways, the only 2 downsides I could find were that there was never really a level playing field, u either beat the hell outta the AI, or it beat the hell outta you. Also, the graphics werent much of an improvement off of Tib Sun, however, story much asskicking. Anyway, I'm pretty much only rambling own about this so why u paying attention to me anymore? Go by the friggin' game and blow up some Soviet dogs!
C&C: Red Alert 2(This aint no Starcraft)

Don't get me wrong this was a really good real time strategy game. If it would have come out a year befor Starcraft did it would have been a classic, but it didn't so it's not. The game and story were good but Starcraft was just so much more better.

Finally, the next game in the C&C series is officially a hit! A step up from Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2 has many features. The ongoing saga with the soviets still hasn't ended but this time Yuri has a mind-controlling machine to use against the allies. The game still remains in 2D, but don't let that fool you. The online multiplayer capabilities are as good as ever, and so is the single player skirmish. Ironically, yet sadly enough, on the Soviet disc, one of the beginning levels is to take out the Twin Towers. The part that sucks is that there is still no Afghanistan, but you can pretend with Iraq! The Final Verdict: A great game overall, but could advance to 3D. Worth your money! Mike Salerno NYYankezrlz@aol.com

Tiberian Sun? Awesome game, one of the best RTS ever and yet I never thought thr spotlight would be stolen...and well, it hasn't! After buying Red Faction & Tribes 2 (both amazing) I decided I'd go up on my RTS gaming too and grab a copy of the greatly praised Red Alert 2. I dashed home and ripped open the box, installed and jumped right into some action...one word, dissappointment! This game honestly sucks, the graphics are barely any better than Tib Sun, the gameplay is nothing different, the units are subpar at best and multiplayer on the net is just plain pathetic. The AI is either suprisingly easy and frustratingly difficult. To say the least and give my final word, I'd strongly recommend anyone looking for a good RTS game to save the 20 bucks and pick up Tiberian Sun. - j0lt
