I felt I was playing an old PS1 game. Graphics were horrible for a PS2 game and the gameplay was very slow. You stand there and the characters just swing there weapons. Not that much fun if you ask me. Seems that they could have done more to make this a good game but decided not too. Vast worlds and levels only to be filled with boxy looking enemies.

Play this game.I mean it.If I had a choice of smothering myself and playing this game.I won't be here tomorrow.In other words this game SUCKS.

Sumoner is a good game but not the best rpg in ps2 its a bit like final fantasy tactic but all characters are active so its a little like earth quack on pc I must admit that this game is very different and new in ways to play it.

NO ONE SHOULD EVER EVEN LOOK AT THIS GAME. IT IS THE WORST GAME THQ HAS EVER CREATED. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND THQ MADE A GAME CALLED RED FACTION,IT IS A 5 FUNFACTOR GAME. BUT SUMMONER IS A 1, AND IF GAMEPRO HAD LOWER THAN A 1 IT WOULD BE AS LOW AS POSSIBLE. DO NOT JUDGE THIS GAME BY THE COMMERCIALS ON T.V. OR THE PREVIEW ON RED FACTION, BECAUSE I DID AND IT WAS NOTHING LIKE THE COMMERCIALS OR THE PREVIEW. THE GAMEPLY WILL BORE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND AND THE CONTROLS JUST PLAIN OUT SUCK BEYOND BELIEF. WELL JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT.

summoner was a good rpg.it had some flas though. 1.the enviroments were great but too big 2.it took forever to load,but for one of ps2's first games they did good. 3.when you were in the enviroments,it took a long time to get from piont a to piont b summoner did have some great thing about it like: 1.the story was great. 2.the gameplay was a different one,but a god one. 3.there were lots of side qeust that were fun. 4.the summons that you could cast could fight along side of you,so that was a cool thing. lots of people are saying that this game wasn't good,but take it from wolfwood,if you like a good, long, exciting game get this one because it was a good game.

This game is okay. just i'm lost with girl. She Sucks. Train her. Or don't try getting this game. its not the best.

Summoner is an RPG game that will allow you to play as five characters (including the main character known as Joseph.) The other four characters are used for their individual purposes. One fights, one uses magic, one sneaks and steals, one summons, and the other are the beasts that you have summoned. This really caught my attention, seeing as how you can have a wide variety of spells and attacks for each of the summoned characters. This game also excels graphically. You cannot look anywhere without seeing precise detail, whether it is trees, swords, crossbows, horses, houses, and facial features. And the sound cannot be more accurate in setting the mood for any occasion and the voiceovers use great emotion and enthusiasm. Although time seems to be the negative factor here. The leveling up process takes forever and after awhile you tend to get sick of the same thing over and over again. There are hundreds of side quests as well, not that that's a bad thing because it helps you pass the time while trying to level up. While waiting for cinemas you can take a bathroom break, go get a snack, and read the dictionary this takes sooooo long! This doesn't only apply for cinemas; it also takes long for it to enter new villages and/or new areas. "Summoner was pretty good and could have been great"

If I were a summoner, I'd summon some developers to fix this game. It's not nessicarily bad, it's just got some flaws. The graphics are good, especially considering that this came out early in PS2's life. The sound, well, characters don't speak in the game but in cutscenes the voices are good. The music is a medevil blend that is cool. The control is one of the biggest flaws, combat is a nightmare. The in game controls are ok. Also, the game can get old pretty quickly. A great weekend rental.

This game reminds me ALOT of vampire the masquerade redemption for the pc,the fighting is like that except you must push a button when an icon pops up over your head to do combos,i had alot of fun with this game for a bit but then it was the same stuff over and over,its repetitive and the towns are TOO BIG you get lost all the time and have to many quests to do at once.a cool point is the summoning of monsters which you can control first hand =)rent this first definitley a nice rental.
