All right. I am a diehard civ fan. I have CivRev, Civ 4, you name it. This game, thank God, I do not own. My friend lent it to me. It was all just... God, I can't explain it. The game does Not live up to the Civilization name.
This game has three MAJOR faults that hold it back. It has unresponsive controls, which is awful. The single player simply does not live up to expectations. And most importantly, it's BORING! That is a capital crime for a Civ game. They are just too good to suck like this.
The game does have loads of content, which is nice. However, who cares how much there is if it all sucks? Well? This game ain't my idea of a fun history game. It was so awful that I thought I was reading history out of a school book.

Civilization II, Test Of Time could have been a great game. It had almost everything needed for legendary status. It had good control and perfectly planned scenarios. But wait, it gets worst. Horrible 2-D graphics spoil the random map game. Bad sound effects want to make you turn the volume low. The game involves building cities and conquering your enemies. You discover technology so you your civilization can advance to become one of the most powerful in the world. The gameplay is endless...too endless. It takes virtually forever to actually advance in the game. You also don't have much fun doing it. If you want to build something in your cities, it involves endless clicking moving the mouse. It's a real shame. This game could have been the next best thing. Maybe in the future this game will get a badly needed facelift.
