I have played Diablo and I rank it up there with Fallout and Fallout 2 as one of the best pc RPGs I have played. This game is spectacular. The dungeons are dark and creepy and it only gets better when you run into the hordesof demons. The Graphics are pretty good and arent that bothersome to the eyes even today. The enemies look fantastic IMO. They look like they trully did come from Hell. The goatmen are the best. Nothing says Hell spawn like half man half goats running around. The story is top notch as well. Its great just to watch and hear it unfold. Diablos audio is well done and fits the games setting. With lots of creepy sound effects and music in the back ground it really draws you in to the experience. The controlls are simple point and click and easy to get into. It will probably take you a little while to get used to but its not to difficult. When I first played this game I turned it down and it took me a while to enjoy it. But after an hour or so I was hooked. I would tell anyone thats looking for a good pc RPG to try Diablo. Its the best.

Diablo is a Hack n' Slash RPG with a point and click interface... that means tht your primary controller is the mouse... you start the game by selecting 1 of 3 character classes. The rogue, a female warrior talented with the bow.. The sorcerer, a man who uses magic to defeat the demons of hell... and the Warrior, an intense melee character skilled in all areas of combat...

after you select your character and give it a name you are dropped in a medieval village known as Tristram... the lord of terror (Diablo) has taken over the nearby cathedral with his never ending hoard of demons. it is up to you to fight your way through the 12 levels of the catacombs and finally make your way to diablo and slay him...

The enemies start out small and relatively easy, but as you venture further and further into the churches vast tunnels the demons become more and more powerful. there are occasional boss fights, the most memorable being with Diablo himself and a demon known only as "The Butcher".. you first fight the butcher on the second floor, and he is by far the most challenging creature you have encountered thus far..

When you kill an enemy they have a chance of dropping items or gold onto the ground.. which you in turn pick up.. this is one of the more addictive parts of the game, because you never know what may fall onto the ground.

when your health is low (and odds are it will be most of the time) you can use health potions to recover it. the same goes with mana and mana potions. Your character has 8 slots on their belt to hold either potions or scrolls. each slot it activated with one of the number keys 1-8... This system works well when in an intense battle.

to sum it up, Diablo is a fun and addictive game with very impressive art work for its time, definitely worth a look.

I found this game to be fun and addictive, it has many different weapons and items at your use and all kinds of fictional demons and enemies. The game has a fun sort of plot but gets old very quickly.

Graphics: 3.0 Although the graphics arent the best because of the games age I thought they were good enough that they didn't do the game any diss. Although there are parts where it can be a bit too dark to see clearly but over all there are no real complaints about the graphics. Sound: 3.0 The sound in the game was pretty good for the most. Sometimes it can grow boring and such but the sound effects and sound track were pretty good. Controls: 4.0 I thought the controls for this game were done pretty well and there's not a point in the game where they really hinder gameplay at all. Storyline: 4.0 I thought the story for this game was a solid and interesting story. Although a hack and slash doesn't always need a great storyline to make it a fun game having one just improves the quality of the game. Conclusion: All in all I would say this is a very fun game with a good and interesting storyline to it. I would recommand it to anyone who enjoys a hack and slash or likes a good storyline to a game. While the game may be a bit older it is still good and an older game has atleast one advantage, its cheaper to buy. Enjoy destroying evil but remember evil doesnt always die in the first game.

OK I've got to admit I loved the game the first two hours I played it, but things change. This game is crap. I hate going to the same old place over and over and over........and over until you finnaly get to hell. Trust me this game was a waste of time. I really expected better. I didn't rate this game on graphics mind you. I rated it on gameplay. It was a definite waste of my $10. I should've bought the fallout games instead. I liked this game a lot because it has some fairly sweet graphics and uh...well, it's just FUN!! You meet a lot of friends and stuff. I met my best friend in the whole world on diablo. I like this game though.

THE PLOT IN THIS GAME IS VERY WELL MADE. THE GAME JUST PLAIN OUT ROCKS BUT NEEDS TO BE LONGER. IT COULD USE A COUPLE MORE WEAPONS, ITEMS, AND CHARACTORS. IT HAS JUST ABOVE AVERAGE GRAPHICS. IT NEEDS BIGGER LEVELS AND MORE MISSIONS. BUT I GAVE IT A 4.5 BECAUSE ALL THE STUFF IT HAS IS REALLY GOOD AND COULD BE BETTER.
