Wet...cut & dry.

If you go into this game expecting the next evolution of the action adventure/hack-n-slash shooter, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. WET isn't the next evolution and playing the game, you get the idea that the developers meant for it to be this way.

The visuals are o.k., nothing spectacular but they get the job done. The dirty film filter over the screen as you play the game gives it that old B-Movie feel which is kind of cool, if you're into that, but you do have the option to turn it off which makes the visuals even better.

Control wise, the game is responsive, but the animation is clunky, repetitive (like the enemy types you will fight) and the environments call for platform elements that work sometimes well, and not so much in during the times you need it to.

The highlight feature of the game is when Rubi (the main character) goes into rage mode with makes the game look like an updated version of Mad World. In this mode you become a body blender and rip through enemies with ease and efficiency. Quick time events are also included, but they are not overdone to the point it becomes a crutch for the game.

If you have played the demo, you may already know what WET is about and have made your mind up on whether you would buy it or not. But if you haven't try it, and see that even though it's not GOTY material, it is worth a look.
