Prince of Persia

Prince of Persia - Xbox 360

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Poor storytelling
Epic boss fights Not enough content
Intense action Repetitive gameplay
Addictive gameplay Unresponsive controls
Prince of Persia carefully balances on a weak high horse.

First thing I noticed in Prince of Persia was, this isn't a game, it's a painting. Then I really got into it and said "this isn't a game, it's a interactive animated movie. Seriously. Prince of Persia has such simple controls, you can almost play just with the Left Stick and the A button (Xbox 360). The only time I found that I wasn't waiting to hit the A button again was during combat. Combat is very very VERY repetitive, each enemy has a weakness now and then, but it's really missing many things. One, you can only fight one enemy at a time. Two, you can't die, so don't even worry about pausing the game to go make breakfast. Three, after you get the combo's down, it's quite a sinch. Aside from that, like I said before, combat is an interactive movie, you really just sit back and press the buttons a few times and your character flies all over the screen in bullet time yelling at his pretty dressed girlfriend "NOW!" and "GO!" like a kid down the block who only play's End War for the DS while eating saltine crackers. The acrobatics are quite nice, but it doesn't require much work. Each boss has some special skill, but it doesn't really feel like a challenge to beat the black gooey stuffing out of them. If I was reviewing this game for graphics it would have a 12 out of 5. Ultimately it's like playing a simple RPG in an arcade were you just choose stuff and the game does the rest. Oh yes, Erika and the Prince have the cheesiest voice acting ever. It's so obvious that the Prince is falling for her every time she has that light seed orgasm. Great game, needs quite a lot of tune up. If your thinking of spending your money on this, wait for the price to drop a bit
