Strap on your gear and prepare to be immersed in a new terror
Its hard pressed to tread new territory in such a field and do it with absolute precision. The makers if Dead Space did just that. EA created a unique movie like experience that puts you into a scenario like Event Horizon and Alien in a desperate attempt for survival against a new and deadly alien species known as The Necromorph. While it does play very close to Resident Evil 4, with super tight controls and innovative concepts like zero-g combat wrapped in a gritty shell of super gloss eye candy, you are forced to surgically dismember your enemies that come in all shapes and sizes. The game is fun, atmospheric and not without dread and impressive visuals that stun and amaze. This has been a good year for games and while GOW 2 is a fun campaign, Dead Space is more impressive than Epic's Sequel, not the first. Seriously Dead Space delivers a whole new world for the first time and I'm not sure what people expect, but its hard to scare anyone these days, but at least Dead Space doesn't die trying, With a vast array of upgradeable weapons and a new alien threat, there's no way to play down the brilliant effort of the new space child to the video game industry, its name is Dead Space and its well worth its price tag.
