More of the same?
Yes please.
WoW is without a doubt the preeminent MMORPG on the market with somewhere around 11 million players worldwide. If you don't like WoW now, then this expansion will do nothing to change your mind. However if you are a WoW-head that has played to level 70 a couple of times and run out of things to do, then this is exactly what you've been hoping for.
Basically Wrath of the Lich King raises the level cap to 80, and gives players a whole new continent to explore. It includes all new quests, gear, spells that you would expect and a new profession called Inscription. Not to mention the ultimately cool new class the Death Knight, (with the small precondition that you have a level 55 character on your particular realm).
I love the new Death Knight quest line, as it gives players a new perspective on the WoW world. Playing as a servant of the Lich King, you get to raze a village, torture innocent villagers, and basically terrorize the countryside. As a matter of fact, most of the new quests from 70-80 have interesting twists that breathe new life into the leveling process.
Blizzard has always set the standard for excellent expansions, and WotLK is no exception. Somehow, the devs never run out of fresh new ideas, and they manage to add little touches that improve the gameplay in significant ways. Oftentimes they make changes that are so intuitive that you wonder why they weren't included from day one.
Bottom line: if you love WoW then then you probably already own this expansion and are racing toward level 80 as I type this. If not then you probably hate this game and think the graphics are cartoony, and the gameplay too casual. I love Blizzard, and have never been disappointed in the quality of their games, and I will be very busy for the next few months playing this new addition to the Blizzard library.

WoW has had a total of 11 million accounts created in its four year lifespan. That does not mean they have 11 million players. Based on recent statistics, I'd imagine something in the area of 900,000 US players currently subscribing, and maybe double that worldwide. Blizzard has not shared the active subscribers number, I imagine for this reason, the 11 Million sounds better. 11 Million Accounts Ever. If I've had four of those myself... that doesn't mean 11 Million People. There was not enough content in this review to be considered a blog entry, let alone a review on something as "big" as GamePro.com. Zero fact checking, and the journalistic integrity of a 'what I did on my summer vacation" rant from a third grader. I give the game a 4 out of 5, and the reviewer a quarter of that.

Hindsight, I suggest you double check your facts.
WoW has about 11 million current ACTIVE SUBSCRIBERS as stated everywhere including their official report.
Which means multiple accounts and non-subscribers aren't counted.

Most of them are the equivalent of 1 paragraph where the "reviewer" says "this game sucks and ______ game is better". Furthermore, I never said it had exactly 11 million players, I was giving a ball park figure based on what I've read on the net. I am not a professional journalist, so if you really feel the need to troll go elsewhere or simply STFU!

11 Million Accounts. Ever.
That is easily worded as "11 Million Players" but it just isn't true.
If it were, you'd see a much different return on Activisions quarterly reports, which indicate roughly a 90 Million Dollar quarterly profit from their WoW devision. Assuming operating expenses and not including the millions I'm sure they make on all these WoW product placements, and you're looking at no more than three million active accounts, worldwide.
Also note, that is accounts, not players.

You know what, fuck world of warcraft. It's hardly a fucking game anymore, I mean as far as I know the gear and raid progression is as easy as hell. I have a roomate that still plays this shit and don't get me wrong I like the dude but he is probably this biggest noob ever.
He will come running into my room telling me OMG dude I just got my pvp rings. lol and I can't do nothing but ROFL cause I mean come on it's wellfare gear lol! I played WoW up until sunwell plateau patch so I know that much. But no matter how noob he is him and this noobie ass guild he is in still runs Nax and clears it without any issues at all.
I'm like what the fuck blizzard, you guys done fucked this game way up. Easy Mode=Money so whatever I guess. Anyone that has had ran MC,SSC,The Eye. We all know how frustrating these raids were but at the end when we completed it there was no better feeling in the world right? To bad we will never have the feeling again with World of Warcraft.
But the funniest thing is the fact that him and his guild hardly run anything at all. They sit in Orgrimmar most of the day/night dancing/running/jumping around on their mounts while chatting on vent about the dps/healing numbers they got on last weeks raid.
I am seriously gonna record his conversation sometime while he plays. It's the funniest shit ever.
