GRID - PS3

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Not enough content
Tight controls
Fantastic multiplayer
Grid's here, speeding through the raceway.

Grid is a great racing simulator that has a couple of interesting concepts about it, and a wide variety of modes and vehicles. The graphics are good, displaying the sleekness and sharpness of the cars, and the race tracks. The soundtrack has a lot of songs that fit the races, and the cars have different vehicle classes, each with their own learning curve. There is a unique feature exclusive to this game, a replay feature. This allows you to, during a race, rewind time for a couple of seconds, and then replay from that point. This is a great way to make turns that you missed, or avoid crashes the first time around. There are a whole lot of vehicles, and you may need to spend some time, just racing around idly just to be able to handle them better. Some cars are fast, but sacrifice turning speed, while other cars have poor handling, but another advantage, and it's up to you to memorize their little quirks, along with the race tracks. The story mode is long, and you will find yourself having to do many races over, because you either didn't know how to use the car that you were forced to use, or that the track was new, so you couldn't anticipate tricky turns. All in all, Grid is a pretty good racer, and you'll find yourself having a good deal of fun with the online multiplayer portion of the game. The game isn't without flaws, as is with almost every driving game, but the number of vehicles, and classes, coupled with slick controls and rapid-thought moments make this racer one worth playing.
