Konami Winning Eleven Soccer 9 has a poorly chosen title but don't let that fool you this game has potential. Potential is the key word. The fine moves of soccer are brought to life in splendid form. The gameplay is out of this world. So many moves can be performed so well. You can do a slow dribble followed by a burst of speed past an opponent with beauty. The bicycle kick is in precise form here. The gameplay is matched by only a few games. The graphics are good. The player faces are good. There are only 100 plus teams though. Though that is a lot to play with. Many have real team and player names. The menu is strangely terrible. It can confuse. This soccer game has one big flaw however-the camera. It does not show enough ahead of the ball. You can be in the penalty box and not see the goalie/goal. That is awful.
This game has so much to offer that it is a shame that the camera holds it from greatness
