Super Paper Mario

Super Paper Mario - Wii

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals
Awesome audio
Epic boss fights
Addictive gameplay
Tight controls
Innovative concepts
Just plain fun
Even on paper, Mario gets the job done.

Not only Mario, but Peach, Luigi, and even Bowser help Mario on his quest to stop Count Bleck. Count Bleck kidknaps them all (except Mario, of course) and brainwashes Bowser's Koopa and Goomba army. The Count then employs hypnotic powers and forces the marriage of Princess Peach to Bowser in order to unleash a destructive power known as the Chaos Heart. You come across a pixl friend (one of many, I think there's like 9) named Tippi and a wizard named Merlon. Tippi will aid you in finding hidden doors that only she can uncover (you point at the screen with the WiiMote.) Other than that the whole game you hold the controller on its side and works wonderful. The controls are spot on and easy to catch on to. Switching between pixls and characters is a snap. You, of course, have many power up items that you can use, the always famous fire flower, Ice flower, poison mushroom, lightning bolt, and many more. All the other pixls you meet up with later in the game all do different attacks or assistants. One of my personal favorites lets you swing a hammer and one of my other personal favorites turns into a bomb. I think there's like 9 pixls total but I can't remember. With great controls, a new story, some really cool characters, and some breathtaking visuals (especially when you flip into a different dimension) Super Paper Mario is not only one of the greatest Wii titles but one of the top 10 Mario games...Ever.

I liked this game but felt it kept dragging on and on and was so repetitious. Then the final dungeon took me hours and I was ready to puke. I look back on it with mildly fond memories but I'll never play it again.
